Yeah I know. The only way it can truly be locked in a game breaking fashion is if they tie the frame rate into the physics like Dead Rising and NFS lazily did.

Rubbish. Seems you've nicely bought into the PR - Twitch shooters aren't the only games that should have 60fps. They all should. Its all about the experience of fluidity during gameplay.

Games can look comparable from a gaming PC to console. That's about it. I've seen nothing on the consoles yet that look and feel close to Metro, BF4, Crysis 3, Skyrim EBN running on Maxed settings at 60+ fps. Not to mention all the last gen classics like L4D2, Farcry 3, Sleeping Dogs, Samurai Warrior, Serious Sam 3, Saints row 4 etc. The only way to play these games in all their glory is on a PC.

Why should you need to resort to pawning off your games library to enjoy other games? The point you've conveniently missed is these games are so dam cheap you don't need to do such ridiculous things.

Spoken like a true fan boy. I love the "just wait and see" line. The fact is most games won't be 1080p @ 60fps simply because the power to do it isn't there. Not unless visual quality is sacrificed. We've already seen enough evidence of this so spare us with your hopes for the future, you sound in denial.
For $400 both consoles do great. If you want better, build a gaming PC.
