@Old McGoin
"I dunno. I don't understand all the negativity when Capcom seem to be catering to all fans (those who want old school Resi, those who liked action Resi and those who liked Ninja Gaiden Resi. Wait, scratch that last one). Not only that, but one of the main complaints about part 5, not being able to move and shoot at the same time, seems to have been addressed but now that's getting criticism as well."
Those who wanted old school ...

Comment of the day. Bubbles!
I'd say RE6 have devolved in a attempt to be everything at once.
Good. Now bring Vesperia (ps3) too! I still want it!
They lost my purchase when I saw the first gameplay footage with waypoints in it. Such an ridiculous decision! Than there was the news about weapon wielding zombies and cover-system. As much as I love the lore and characters, this franchise doesn't mean a lot to me anymore.
@GamerElite
Wow! You should have your own stand up show!
What really annoys me is that gamers want to have a voice in this industry but they keep supporting all the things that they complain about.
@PosTedUp
You could walk and aim in dead space 1 and it was just what everyone wanted from Resident Evil - dark, moody, scary, lonely. Nobody asked for huge explosions, cover shooting and roundhouse kicks...
Not just you. I am terrified with this digital trend. I hate the idea of not having my physical good looking pile of games at my desk. I hate it so much that I even refrain to get games I normaly would (re4 and code veronica hd) for being downloadable only.
I'd add Dragon's Dogma, Dark Souls and Valkyria Chronicles to any top 10 list.
LOL! Just... just LOL!
Yeah, my favorite one is a 360 exclusive... ¬¬
Just out of curiosity: what didn't you like about Arkham City?
That "mediocre" game is probably twice the game RE6 will ever be. DD is awesome, not mediocre. But yeah, it was a shitty move they pulled.
Really? With waypoints, cover system, health regen, QTE's and weapon wielding "zombies"? I'll try it out, but I doubt it will be good.
Health regen and waypoints... yay...(?) Thanks for that, crapcom.
Some of my favorite games this gen had very little - if nothing at all - going for their stories: Demon's Soul, Dark's Souls, Dragon's Dogma, Borderlands, LittleBigPlanet, White Knight Chronicles 2.
Anyway, my point is, even though we SHOULD NOT settle for a great story OR a great gameplay (games are not cheap and we deserve both), I think that gameplay comes first. If the gameplay is lacking, I would give up before the story had a chance to shine.
That...
@Technical World
Never thought about that before, but health degen after have been biten by a zombie would make perfect sense. Also, it could even add a little to the scary/tense factor that Resident Evil should be going for!
RE 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica and 4. 5 was shameful, 6 seems to be heading the same route and I couldn't try revelations (which seems good).
This is my favorite new IP for this gen, I'm playing non-stop and loving every minute of it! My only wish is that monters scale with the player and actually got tougher in ng+ to keep it challenging. Add that in the sequel and it will be a perfect game in my book!
Well said. Bubbles to you.
