I agree with Dragon's Dogma, but I know I'm part of the minority of gamers who actually liked it. I also believe (disagrees incoming) games should be judged mostly by their gameplay, which - imo - makes unfair to put games such as Walking Dead and Borderlands 2 competing with each other when one is pure gaming and the other is an interactive drama. My goty contenders? Borderlands 2, Farcry 3, Hitman, Mass Effect 3, Dragon's Dogma... you know, games, with actual gameplay in the pac...
“Dead Island: Riptide is the next instalment in the Dead Island franchise but it is not the sequel to Dead Island.”
...
“We wanted to provide more ‘Dead Island’ to players relatively fast and also to continue the story where we had left off, so it made sense to use the same – but improved – engine as Dead Island. The core mechanics are the same and a lot of things are familiar.”
So, they kept the name, engine, core mechanics and are continuing the st...
"You never really have a choice when doing a mission, most of them you have to go in there, sword out, fighting to the death."
To make matters worse, 6 years and 5 games later, combat still is unbelievably boring - nothing but a cakewalk.
Right?! First time I've seen someone complaining about that! lol
Instead of having co-op or multiplayer, I wish they could implement stealth to this franchise. Real stealth. It only makes sense with you being an assassin and all. I wish it was one of those games where you could kill everything in your path without ever being seen.
I agree with victorian Londan, as not only dark and atmospheric, it could also be a wonderful place for sightsee. BUT, narrow alleyways could be problematic gameplay wise, with the camera getting in the way.
People are asking for this since AC2: feudal Japan.
Can't wait for my second playtrough in hard mode!
Was it ever announced? I haven't play any R&C yet and was wondering if I should give it a chance. With a Future collection on the way, it'd be a no brainer for me...
"so basically your saying people are not allowed to play bad video games."
He is not saying anything like that at all. In fact, all he is saying is that before making a purchase, people should watch what he thinks it is an informative video showing how bad the game really is. Do your reading again, calmly, and don't jump to precipitated butt-hurt conclusions. He’s not being immature or aggressive to anyone in any way. You are.
Ni no Kuni, Revengeance, Tomb Raider and Dead Space 3. But for me, 2013 is the year of The Last of Us!
Please don't screw this up! Make it a good port!
On that topoic, where the hell is Dragonquest 8 HD?! I want to play it again on my ps3!
OMG, that was some truly impressive acting, characters and script...! I was tense and excited trough the whole video! Last time I was this impressed with acting in a game was with Uncharted games - I NEED to get this one!
Not only that, but different from the previous games, you can't kill the sentries on the roofs without alerting every guard in the area, which is really annoying... Well, at least not in the begining, playing as Haytham (I'm not very far in the game, so I can't tell if it will be different with Connor).
I've loved the fact that the new assassin is a native american, to me it was a really cool and fresh idea, as I can't remember having ever played as one in any game before. Combat and tree navigation also looks cool as hell in this game, but so far (I'm still at the begining), that's the only compliments I can make about it. Everything else is just disappointing. The first hours, more than a slow start, were utterly boring; the combat was kept as the same annoying cakewalk of ...
Was AC3 this much of a letdown?! Also, I don't believe that dishonoured was just more of what we see every year...
All in all, with games as ME3, AC3, Borderlands 2, Xcom, Dishonoured and Hitman, I think this was a pretty good year already in gaming - and there's still FarCry 3 on the way, right?
@Sevir
"– the best game in the series since 2008’s Devil May Cry 3."
Yes, she did.
@blacktric
No lock on? Wth, seriously?!
Wow, this sounds f* awesome!
