I hope Socom 4 it's not too hard on newcomers. I'm really excited about it, but I never played any Socom and I keep hearing ppl saying this franchise has no room for an new crowd. I hate elitism. Loved MGO, but it's elitist community got in my nerves. That, right now, is the only thing which makes me hesitant with Socom 4.
Mean waiting... I want to play it NOW!

Because said gamers still have their options open to go on raids anytime they want. Aside that, even the loners are part of an guild and as so are, usually communicating with them, whether just to have someone to talk or to ask for tips about the game. Thankfully, play an mmo doesn't mean you always have to be in an party, it just means that you can if you so choose.

Thats all very nice and everything, but the singleplayer campaign was like a bonus mode to the game. I want to read more about the online part. What's diferent? Aside from the knigh transformation (which I'm not liking) and the six player party (which I find absolutely grand!)?

I guess SE owns big shoes and they are not able to fill them anymore. That doesn't mean they suck, just that they don't deserve all the high standards they once built for themselves. And if you come to think about it, this is almost an natural progression these days. Just look at capcom, sega, bioware and even level-5. None of those have made bad games this generation (not at all, this is NOT my point), but neither have lived up to the expectations either.

It's not a triple A, but it IS really good. Is, also, the kind of game that you invest more time online than offline. If you like jrpg and grinding, this one is very worthy - and very addictive.
