Is the first game really this awful? Why? I was thinking on buying it, but everybody I know told me this was crazy talk. The demo seamed cool. Really cool. :T

Final Fantasy is all about adventure, exploration, combat, discovering a new world, a new culture, different people and races... it is, above all else, about immersion into something new and exciting. It seams as the perfect setting for an mmorpg if you ask me. It just makes it grander in scale.
It seams like a fun game... for a while. I'm not sure if I'm interested yet. This lighthearted take on the zombie apocalypse seams a little out of place, but... hey, I might get it and think of Tallahassee, from Zombieland, while I play! haha

I really dont mind if it keeps action oriented as long as it has an good story to tell (which was what I liked better about RE anyway), and becomes darkly mood, atmospheric and scary again. Those things don't need to be in opposition to each other, just take Dead Space as an example. It was action oriented and even though it wasn't that scary for some (it was for me), no one can denie that it had an amazing atmosphere. It was creepy. Sweet! Dead Space was the most atmospheric game I've played since Resident Evil: Code Veronica on Dreamcast! It was really disturbing, and I loved every single terrifying minute spent on it. If the second one were to be just as scary it would already be a Must Buy to me, but to read it will be even scarier and that we still have like five months or more of waiting? Thats mean, sir...! Thats torture!

Idk what the heck are these people talking about. The game looks pretty nice to me. Yes, the trailer wasn't spectacular, but I'm sure there will be more to the main campaign than this run and shoot thing. And if it doesn't, whatever - I'm way more excited about it's multiplayer than the singleplayer (which I see as a bonus feature). Definitely a day one purchase to me. And I'm not even a Socom vet, I'm a newcomer!

I think that an mascot for an game company should be a choice between the characters ONLY available for that company - which doesn't include MGS and Snake as the franchise is not one of Sony's exclusives.

There's no fanboyism in here, it's just 'cause, this way, there’s no losing for anybody. Ps3 to 360 ports are always on pair, its the 360 to ps3 ports that leave things unbalanced. Starting the development on ps3 is a nice first step to please greeks and trojans.
Nobody thought it could 'till Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 was released on dreamcast, and boy was it good! They got it right once, and I think they can do it again.

Since it has not sort of multiplayer, I hope the campaign is long, varied and exciting. Emphasis on long. The games we get today are getting shorter and shorter.
I don't think an lotr game should follow the movie/book plot, but it could only follow it's lore and theme. Or use material from the Silmarillion and the Unfinished Tales. It's a very rich material and it would be much much more interesting to see it on an game.
