i can almost guarantee you that when sony aquires them they will continue to let them make games for the the switch. nintendo isnt really sonys competition, MS is. sony can cohabitate with nintendo just fine. plus sony could make a killing from the software sales as well.
raiden.....well not just any new console, a ps5. they have proven time and time again to have the best 1st party studios. its not even a matter of opinion, it is a fact. Sony 1st party studios trounce xbox, its slmost comical how bad they are in comparison. playstation already got HFW and gt7 this year. If ragnarok releases this yr as expected, that is 3 goty contenders in 2022 alone.
well for starters we have forspoken, tchia, and stray. ragnarok likely will be holiday 2022. if ragnarok releases in november or December it is going to completely decimate the competition. we have had a few current gen exclusives like returnal, rift apart, tokyo ghostwire, kena, deathloop just to name a few. Even though HFW is on ps4 as well, it still the best looking console game made to date.

yah although i would prefer capcom, i really do believe that an annoucement that sony has aquired square enix will happen withing the next couple months. he has denied it but i also think sony will aquire kojima shortly. i fully expect deviation games and possibly firewalk to be aquired by sony as well. now only if sony could get those konami ips like mgs, silent hill and castlevania id be really happy.
i think thats exactly whats happening. xbox is just trying to gain as many studios to fill out releases for gamepass, since clearly their 1st party studios are struggling mightily. sony is trying to secure quality studios to keep them off the subscription model and maintain their console dominance.

sony didnt just pay 3.6 billion for the company and the destiny ip. they paid for bungie's tech and knowledge in the gaas world. over 1 billion of the 3.6 billion purchase price went specifically to the people who actually made the game. they wanted to make sure they werent going anywhere for 5 yrs so they could use there expertise to help then jumpstart gaas for other playstation studios. im not a big fan of gaas in general, but with the right ip i will definitely jump in with both f...
no they only want to sell the studios and license the IPS. might be ideal for sony to pick up a couple of these studios like avalanche and rock steady. they then could use them to make some games for sony IPS. sony is sitting on a treasure trove of valuable IPS.

its good that pc players finally get to play these awesome games. i platinumed uc4 yrs and yrs ago. the graphics and action were unmatched for quite some time. naughty dog are easily the best game studio in the world.
says you. rift apart was awesome. great gameplay & visuals and incredibly fun to play. all hallmarks of insomniac games. sonys 1st party cant be beat. insomniac have quickly developed into a top 3 studio for sony.
hoping it is resistance game. i am not a fan of multiplayer games in general, but i loved resistance! :-)
only other dev that is on the same level is naughty dog. sony has the 2 best studios in all of gaming imo. insomniac is also really up there along with guerilla and suckerpunch.

id love for that to happen, but realistically they could only afford 1 of them. my guess is square, althought id slightly prefer capcom. im still thinking they will aquire kojima and deviation games as well. aquiring konami wouldnt be a great move, but buying some of their dormant IPs like mgs, silent hill and castlevania would be incredible. then they could give kojima his baby back.
