Was playing it in my living room last night with 2 others. We all screamed at the same time lol. good times. Never had so much fun being scared.
A simple game but really puts you on edge and primes you for it's jump scares.
Every Souls game was choppy in areas and if you watched the gameplay videos of BB you can already tell that this will be no different. Frame rates were dipping into the twenties and teens when they were doing live demonstrations.
Demon's Souls already had spiritual successors, Dark Souls. Nothings changed in 5 years and people are treating this like some brand new IP that's gonna set their world on fire. I played all three games and can tell you from the gameplay vids of BB that its the same recycled stuff.
"I've never played the souls games...I like B's combat.."
If you've never played a Souls game before, then how do you really know if you like the combat or not??
Play a souls game and then come back to me when you actually know what you are talking about.
The next over-hyped game is Bloodborne. I can see this one from a mile away. It's a carbon copy of Dark/Demon's Souls only this time in a gothic London like setting. Again, nothing truly original. Same ol', same ol'.
2014: The year of "next" gen hype.
Pretty neat designs but sadly it doesn't walk around your room:(
I believe it's not actually analog, the stick has digital mechanical switches (clicky).
"The bottom line is that Microsoft and Sony got so caught up in the race to be first to market with a ‘next generation’ console that they failed to actually deliver a truly next generation console."
Although I don't buy his 4K argument. I do agree that both companies rushed their consoles to market too quickly in spite of each other, delivering machines that don't render a standard 1080p/60fps consistently and didn't come equipped with the standard the ...
The delay on PC should be worth the wait for me, personally. It will have extra features(movie editor), higher frame rates, and higher resolution, and mods which will bring a trove of free content and boosted visuals.
If the companies discontinue their services we are all screwed at that point. How else are you going to D/L the patches to broken disc-based games that they ship these days?
What's good about a physical game now, if it requires a digital patch to function correctly anyway?
Your discs might be fine now, but durable? please. Just try moving an XB360 sometime while a disc is spinning, I dare you.
Yes they are tangible objects that are no...
Pros of digital game libraries:
You have the game forever as long as you have an account.
The developer who made your game won't get screwed over when your game inevitably gets traded into the used market and resold over and over. Hell, it might as well be pirated! Either way they get jack sh** in both scenarios!
No damaged discs. they will eventually degrade in time.
Game collections are materialistic vanity anyway.
It's multiplat this time. It should be a lot better than resogun.
Didn't buy it because of the hype turned me off. Been burned by over hyped games in the past.
Looks exactly like Halo. Looks like the shooting and character animations are a direct copy of Halo.
Does it innovate? If yes then what does it do that is unique to only Destiny?
What is the story line exactly? Is it interesting? Is there any emotion involved in the story?
Do the missions vary?
I'm gonna wa...
"Now, I have to admit I have not experienced VR."
Well that's his first mistake. Having a preconceived notion about it.
This is one of the best tech demos to introduce people to VR with.
My roommate a former vr skeptic said it was the best experience he's had in the last ten years. Another friend of mine nearly ripped the dk2 off his head at the finally of this demo. He apparently was afraid of heights it seemed lol.
The game is heavily CPU limited just like GTAIV was, I'd suspect. There is no other reason a $1000 card like a Titan shouldn't be able to run this game at, at least 60fps consistently.
Waiting for about 4 patches and two price drops later until a buy it;)
People whining about a $400 price point for VR need to shut up and get back to flipping those burgers.
They are going to sell the consumer version at the cost to make it, they said. If this was an Apple product it would easily be $1000 or higher.
I doubt it's gonna be worth the asking price on PC. SD is like $5 on steam at times now. The difference will not be as drastic as consoles if there is any difference at all for the PC version.
Great game. Played it in 1440p at a solid 60fps on my machine so I've probably already had the definitive experience for this game anyway.
