The Dreamcast by Sega used a second screen on the controller for calling plays in NFL 2k in the 90's and it was really nice to have that option......so, it truly has been done properly in the past....maybe Sony or MS can get it done with a lot more bells and whistles for the future.. there are so many possibilities.
Agree with Abash here ....... answer to the title..... How's about Nooooooooooo. :) 1st party exclusives are what make the PS3 the system to beat.
Virtua Fighter started it for me....as far as in depth strategy fighting games are concerned anyway.... the Tekken and Dead or Alive series are great alternatives too (the new Mortal Kombat should get a mention here as well lol )...but, that is my opinion.... I already own Street Fighter VI and Blazblue and they are fun, but in the Street Fighter World or should I say Capcom World....I like the Marvel Vs. Capcom Series more so. Getting the Super version will be a plus though...no pun intende...
Netflix just signed a deal with Disney that will allow them to show movies 6 months after their initial release.....doesn't start til 2016 though...should be nice though...especially with the new Star Wars films in the works....still can't beleive Disney bought Lucas Arts. Back on topic....should make for better movie selections in the future.
If you haven't found a reason to buy Vita yet then there is only one reason.... You are poor! "Your family is POOR Kenny!!!" All joking aside :) There are several games for the Vita that warrant a purchase....having Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Madden, MLB the Show, Call of Duty, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Unit 13,and several other titles that are out atm available on the go is just simply a dream come true .... If you can afford one and are truly interested in console quality i...
I wasn't aware that the Vita needed saving???? Hmmm funny how perception works huh? :)
The only problems I have had so far is the "waiting on players to balance teams" deal...just takes a few minutes for the multiplayer match to start ...sometimes.... is the freezing just specific to the old fatty style ps3?....playing on the slim myself and it hasn't frozen at all for me...just the delayed wait to start an online match occasionally.
To all the kids in their mom's basement at giantbomb that disagreed and commented on my post. I have spent a lot of time with this game.... The campaign is made up of short missions and basically plays like every call of duty before it. The online multiplayer is stable, rooms have been full since launch, and the killstreaks, perks, and everything that makes it call of duty's little brother work great. There is a Hostile mode that plays more akin to the modern warefare survival mode...
Don't believe this review...have it ...love it.....online is actually a blast and runs great...a lot of fun to be had here....it's a mini console version and damn good...It's a different story and a nice stand alone game...exceded my expectations...pleasantly surprised.....review is full of bull puckey. Oh, and who is giantbomb.com?....someone got mommy's credit card and made a website 8)
@InTheZoneAC.....go get it and try it....if you do have a Vita and like CoD....you will love this game.
This game is a lot better than I expected it would be. The single player campaign, hostile mode, perks, kill streaks, and the multiplayer have truly exceeded my expectations. It truly is a mini console experience on the Vita....recommend it to any Call of Duty Fan. A nice surprise for sure.
Actually agree with this review.....between this version and the Vita version....I am a happy man. Very surprised with the quality of both. Don't believe any negativity on these titles..... both very nicely done games.
Meant to call that wave mode "Hostiles" mode (not time trial...that's another mode altogether)....tired lol
@Onilink happy to say that from the 4 plus hours I have put in with Black Ops Declassified that this game is an exception. The online was full last night...map voting, perks, kill streaks....a true mini console version of COD...the campaign operations are set up to be quick missions that are perfect for a handheld as well as the time trial wave mode....wish it was zombies, but it is more a kin to modern warfare's surviving the waves of enemies deal. I am sure it will get dinged hard by ...
@xJumpManx .. PS3/Vita owner here....was out at midnight launch with several of my PS3 ONLY having friends and we all love the new CoD.....I am actually very impressed with the Vita version as well.....played it's multiplayer and other modes last night and it is a pleasant surprise. It will probably get blasted for some reason or another by jaded reviewers, but I really enjoyed the 4 or so hours I put in on it last night before I crashed.
It ended for these official mags when they stopped including the disc for me. I always enjoyed getting the demos, videos, and occasional DLC thrown in and was really looking forward to them doing it on bluray with the new Playstation Mag.....subscribed for the first year...no disc no renewal. And I do like having the print to read occasionally...still get the Game Informer Rag, but it never originally came with a disc...so there lol
I agree. The Move is truly underrated. I still use it regulary. It works really well with The Fight: Lights Out, Killzone 3, Reistance 3, Sorcery, both Sports Champions titles, and Socom 4 (not to mention all the rail shooters that it works perfectly for). Hopefully the next gen will just make it that much better.
The game is a lot better than people give it credit for....on the same token, so was Heavenly Sword. The extra Piggy content is worth the download too for Enslaved. Great games by Ninja Theory...too bad there are no sequels in the works for both of these titles. Will keep these in my collection...true gems.
This is how I look at it......there are several reviews out there...some good and some bad...I have actually enjoyed all of the core Resident Evil games since the release of the 1st one...I liked 5 just as much as I liked 4....so I am going to pick this up and judge for myself. You have to remember that game reviews are that particular reviewer's OPINION.....and we all have differences, likes, and dislikes that are unique to us.....after playing the demos, I think this game warrants a pu...
Games can be successful on more THAN one platform. However, every now and THEN one platform will have the upper hand or more superior version of the game. I recently rebuilt my gaming PC and now it can run anything on the market on ultra settings with no problems. I picked up Skyrim on Steam and Battlefield 3 through Origin and have to say that in comparison to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of both of these games....the PC version is far superior in every way imaginable. I have had the co...
