I have played a good bit of this title now and have to say that the reviewer is a complete (2 sylables here) M0-RON :) This game is actually quite fun and looks amazing and the combos and special moves DO matter. I will admit that the camera is a little rough on the default setting but when I inverted it, it made it much better, at least to me. There is no way this game deserves the 6.6 score...at least an 8 or higher easy. This review is his opinion and unlike the combo moves in the game...
The score and the actual written review don't seem to go together. IGN has a history of doing this. I say give the game a try and see for yourself. What he has written in the review seems to take away from his 6.6 rating. Seems, at least from what he wrote, that this should at least be an 8 or so...and that's from his view. I am still buying the game, regardless of this review. I am sure other reviews out there will be higher than IGN's.
He just said they recommend cheap knock-offs/products...so yes, that implies the 360 too....sort of falls right in LOL :) had to get in the PS3 Fanboy cheapshot. But, honestly... I just think it depends on who the clerk is. There are a couple at my local store who would never recommend a cheap knock-off or 360 :o (opps did it again LOL) and there are a few that are pro 360 and every answer or recommendation from them always leads back to "hey, maybe you should consider the 360 instea...
A Single Player Story Mode would be nice. I want to take down some of those mother ships in the early vids....also the battles in those vids just looked epic. Would be a nice addition to an already great game.
COMPONENT CABLES AND a good HD TV = CRAP images, when compared to what you see when you run a game or Bluray movie with HDMI. I promise you the image will look night and day. The problem you have here is that not all 360's have the HDMI out. So get both demos up and running on systems that support HDMI and then take your screen shots. This entire thread of comments is pointless :)

Junk is junk no matter how low ya price it. I would still gladly pay $600 for a PS3 (even though they are now $399) over any model the 360 offers....have had my 60 gig PS3 model since launch and recently upgraded the HDD to 320 gigs. No problems at all...very reliable and high quality machine....... wish I could say the same for the RROD plagued 360's out there that have been sent back repeatedly to Microsoft for repairs. I have sent my son's 360 back for repairs 5 times...about a 6 week tu...

these games are 2 of my favorites. Dreamcast died an early death.....would love to see a Colossus sequel and shenmue finished on this gens systems. Panzer Dragoon Saga is another that I would love to see updated as well.
I grabbed the PS3 version last night and have to say it lives up to the review. I passed on last years version and am glad I waited. I do agree however that it should have been this good in 07 and 08.......3 years is a long time.
There is no doubt that the PS3 is the best choice as far as a quality item is concerned and people are finally realizing this.......not to give MGS4 all the credit or anything, but I know 4 people personally that bought the PS3 after watching me play MGS4.....this system is definitely the one....if it had been released the same day as the 360 the numbers game would be a different story for sure. But all would have to agree that for the money you get much more with the PS3 than with the other...
As well as the option to turn it off for the 3 or 4 people in the world out there that don't like it. I personally feel it adds a lot to all games...helps make the experience palpable. There is no excuse for any fighting game, racing game, FPS, RPG, Action game or any game for that matter to be released without rumble support. Jeez!

I have played EQ, WoW, EQ2, FF11 and even tried DDO and I have to honestly say that this game has the most potential of any MMO I have played. The game controls fine and looks great. I have played every true Resident Evil game since the beginning and this one will be just as good as the best of the series.
