Console gamers don't understand
Any body who got a 8800 GTS, 8800 GTX or 8800 Ultra don't need to upgrade, these cards still rock and have been for over 2 years now.
If I had one of these I would not upgrade till Christmas 2010 cause DX11 suxs atm so just wait it out and get a Evergreen or Fermi when they get real cheap

I would sell it and get a GTS 250 or HD 5770. GeForce 8400 is low end workstation card, not designed for gaming

Some games the difference between DX9 and DX10 is big.
Dirt 2 and STALKER was just good ways for Microsoft and ATi to get sales.

games purchased on steam require you to log in to steam to play you can use offline mode also.
I had a GTX 285 and loved it so much
It failed under warranty and at first I was pissed because Ebuyer no longer had them in stock
Then when I phoned them, they said I could exchange it for any item so I said could I have the Sapphire HD 5850 I got really excited and it came with Dirt 2

yep Unified shaders are the future, the PS3 or may be the Wii 2 will be the last systems ever to feature pixel and vertex shaders.
ATi Radeon HD 5870 features 1600 Unified shaders clocked at 725MHz
Nvidia Fermi will feature 512 Cuda cores (unified shaders) clocked at 2GHz
1 is out on PC, L4D2 with the 360 version being a gimped port (PC FTW)
2 of them are coming to PC, Splinter Cell and Mass effect 2 are going to be released the same day.

Sorry but back in 2005 when Pandemic released Mercenaries Playground of destruction, Star Wars Battlefront II and Destroy all Humans it was one of my best years of gaming and I'm sure others will agree.
Pandemic Made some amazing games when they were independent, EA killed them like almost everything they touch.

IBM, Intel and AMD are very scared at the moment imho with what Nvidia is doing and that's the reason these chip makers are going down the hybrid route
Nvidia plan is to have CPU free Desktop, Laptops, Net-tops, Netbooks and Servers. Fermi is the big step to Nvidia overall plan.
