Well I have Nvidia 3D Vision and it makes even average games look really cool.

Nvidia 3D > PS3 3D

Activision/ Treyarch has most likely said this for money reasons

Edit: Also Call of Duty: Black Ops is a native Nvidia 3D ready game, so this is definitely BS

The sun light is reflected by the mirrors into Helios One
then light then is shot to a satellite (Archimedes II) that then focuses the light on the designated spot

Or at least I think that how it works
