"Try & Build a $299 gaming PC"
Try & Build a $600 gaming PC
Remember the PS3 cost $600 at release
I could of build a PC for $800 in 2006 that no console today could match
Also who needs $200 Windows, Linux $0 with Wine $0
When I got my 8GB 1066MHz RAM it cost me £78.99 so no point going for 4GB and it would be such a little difference in cost
I had a HD 5850 but exchanged it for GTX 460
Would not get any future AMD GPUs till they improve software, not getting any Nvidia card above GTX 460 becuase of power consumption and heat
GTX 460 best power, heat and priced card in years
Remember Kids
Cryengine 3 Crysis 2 is Real time all the time
My self build RIG that any body could build for less than £1000
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 2.8GHz @ 1.2Vc
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 @ 800MHz/ 1600MHz/ 4000MHz
PPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 240 @ 650MHz/ 1584MHz/ 3700MHz
RAM: OCZ 8GB PC2 8500 (DDR2 1066MHz)
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P with BIOS F7a
That is the important stuff, will tell the rest if anyone is interested
I Have a 360 DS, PC, PS3, PSP and Wii
Last time I played the 360 was Halo Reach 3 weeks ago
Last time I played the DS was Another Life 2 years ago
Last time I played the PC was Arcania Gothic IV 15 hours ago
Last time I played the PS3 was Heavy Rain 4 months ago
Last time I played the PSP was Splinter Cell 2 years ago
Last time I played the Wii was Mario Galaxy 1 year ago
I only use my consoles for exclusives I want, I ...
Got this on PC and it has to be the best looking RPG is years
I found it more fun than Oblivion which is almost impossible
8.5/10
1/10
Every year Activision thinks they can rehash a game with almost the same content and get away with it...
Wait oh yeah becuase people are stupid enough to buy them, what shame
One sec 2 Call of Duty games in one year
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Medal of Honor
Best Call of Duty was 3
Best Medal of Honor was Airborne
KOTOR was on PC and was far superior
Mass Effect was on PC plus it was far superior
Read my comment below, its impossible, no money in it for Valve or any 3rd party
How in the hell would Trade-ins work with digital distribution, its impossible
1st you don't have the physical copy and 2nd with Steam most games don't come with CD Keys. No 3rd party would agree to it
It could never work and would never work

I would take Elders Scrolls and Gothic over any JRPGs
What is the point in a RPG if the gameplay and leveling is linear and the character is barely customizable
Professional racing simulators are all made in the west such as: rFactor, iRacing, Live for Speed and Race series
All Japan have IMHO is Fighting because its boring and platformers
I'm sorry but to make the worlds more believable you need to use shaders, lighting, shadows and other effects (life like and realism)
You also the models and textures need to be up to scratch
For me this is why PC is the best because you get all this in almost every game, the hardware is there its up to the developers to do the job right
For console gamers it would be a good alternative to 360, PS3 and Wii
Its not good for PC gamers as for most part we can play already at maximum setting above 1280 by 720 so why would we want to pay for a worst experience of the same game
This is aimed at console gamers, people with low end PCs and Macs nothing else
For me the PC is the most cost effective
I have spent around £1000 to get my RIG where it is and I have 197 games on Steam for around £600
Hardware £1000
Software £600
So to play 197 games at maximum I have spent around £1600 plus all the other benefits PC can offer that no console can
GTX 460 best price to performance card in years
I have the PC version
Here is my scoring
PRESENTATION / STORY: 9
GRAPHICS: 9
GAMEPLAY / CONTROLS: 8
REPLAY VALUE: 10
OVERALL: 9
The story is great, having to save your daughter and prove your innocents, the presentation is good cutscenes could be better.
The Graphics are very good at least the PC version is.
I play with the 360 pad but the mouse is key for precision and gameplay is awesome.
Are you kidding me
Half-Life 1 & 2 both did over 7 retail million sales never mind sales on Steam
Granted Episodes 1 & 2 flopped in comparison, around 2 million each at retail but what about Steam again
Thing is Half-Life is one of the best gaming franchises but Console fanboys seem to forget that.
perving right in her face lol
She either like it or was like what the fcuk you b!tch
Most x86 and x64 CPU since 2006 are more suited to gaming than the CELL B.E
Large amounts of cache do effect performance believe it or not, for example
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4GHz, 4MB L2 Cache 65nm Q3 2006
Intel Pentium E6600 @ 3.06GHz, 2MB L2 Cache 45nm Q1 2010
Guess what the 2006 CPU is quicker, but but the clock speed of the Pentium is higher and its 45nm and technology is almost the same, big shame its missing the extra 2MB C...
