Certain games are made for 30 fps from the get go, like Dark Souls 1 on PC. If you uncap it it crashes with certain actions and some other stuff wont work.
I don't know it this is the case with FF, but as it is a PsP port I'm less surpsised. More suprised about only 2 resolution options and no mouse support.
