pretty cool.
Amen :)
Badass
Agreed. This game put so much into graphics they forgot all the other stuff that makes a great racing game have depth, challenge and strategy. Kinda like grid. Great for a week and then forgotten about once the graphics shine wears off.
It looks beautiful but to put it in the same class as gran turismo or forza even is like comparing gears of war to mass effect because they are both tps games. Driveclub will be a glorified project Gotham racing and the true ps4 sim fans are going to have to pin their hopes on project cars or wait it out for gt7. I'm sure DC will be fun and nice to look at but as a sim fan I don't so see how it's lack of customization, tuning, real physics, small car list, no real world tracks ...
boy thats a..... surprise. how about a AAA that isn't a remaster.
Haha I do love it when someone making some tiny game comes in talking about it like they were making something like the witcher or the division or something
Just shut up
i don't know where you got hate from. they are just saying that theres more power to do more on pc's. they mentioned the ps4 in there as well and Ryse was obviously an x1 exclusive. it is possible to not hate something and still speak about it objectively. the internet thinks theres some rule that if you say something less than glowing about something then they hate it or its the worst at everything. there are plenty of shades in between and besides - this article was all about t...
of course consoles are considerably less powerful than high end pc's. most things that compute are. thats why consoles are $400 and high end PC's are close to $2k or more.
Next we're going to find out that round tires roll better than square ones.
sounds like they aren't distancing themselves from x1 so much as jus saying that consoles are weak:
As Crytek’s Rendering Engineers revealed, when both Xbox One and PS4 were already dated the moment they came out.
“Console hardware was considerably less powerful than high-end PCs at launch” reads Crytek’s SIGGRAPH 2014 presentation.
personally i found it to be a great article. it sums up my feelings accurately. just read vgchartz post comments to see it all in action.
clever. and also true. if someone doesn't agree with the headline then its fanboyism. if it doesn't spell out exactly what they want to hear, its click bait - despite the fact that others may have a differing opinion. if it aligns perfectly with their views its "great article".
people chase their tails as well. someone commented recently about an article on a new EA game coming out and how the xb1 and ps4 versions were pretty equal. they said somethi...
*golf clap*
Hype is something advertising does by saturating media with every interview, ad, piece of info, inflation etc... Hype is what builds excitement towards a product and it's side effect is that it also builds expectations.... overhyping builds too much expectation.
that said - i'd say the ps4 is somewhat overhyped. what i mean by that is that its not as mind blowing as all the trades, fanboys and world at large would have you believe when you really pare everything back...
whoops.
i sincerely don't mean this to take sides here but I've had way more problems on the playstation network over xbl. not to say xbl hasn't had its own problems, but i've had too many emails from sony saying to change my passwords, my credit card info may have been exposed, etc etc, and now a DDoS attack which isn't as scary but still frustrating. i'm not judging psn so much as just wanting it to get more robust in terms of protection and performance. its important to n...
Maybe I'm from a different crowd but I never thought card games were cool to begin with. Probably the opposite.
I don't think its envy. i don't think its any of that. i think its far more simple. the expectation for this game is extremely high as its been touted a as a technical marvel and sony still doesn't have an absolute must have game for the ps4. That so much emphasis has been placed on ps4 power and the emphasis of graphics that nobody ever stopped to ask "hey... how's the gameplay, btw".
i think turning it into an "against sony" or "fa...
@reko:
Pretend this is a situation where you aren't being a dick and think of ways you could " feel" an update... Maybe in more of a less literal sense since your apparently smart enough to understand somebody alluding to something beyond its literal interpretation. Performance is one of those things... You "feel" a performance increase. Things can "feel" faster or slower. The UI/nav can "feel" more or less intuitive.
