Don't be an ass. Forza is only racing too but there's tons you can do on top of it. You can go and upgrade or swap out parts for your car, then go test drive it, then tune it (wheels, tires, camber, gear ratios, dampening, springs, differential, aerodynamics, weight, frame, plugs, turbos etc etc), save your tune ups. You can go into your garage and learn about your cars, get in them, start the engines etc. you can gift cars to people, spend hours making custom, handmade liveries etc. ...
You'll feel a little bit less impressed when you play it in real life. Still looks great, but when you see it on a big tv it looks a little bit less amazing. I was actually surprised.
Played it last night for a few hours. IT looks good but not quite as good as you would expect after watching all the videos and images on the web. You literally just do a race, pick another race, do it, then pick another until you just don't feel like it anymore. It's ok. Not amazing. It's definitely not a forza nor forza horizons 2 killer. It's definitely the best racer on ps4 tho I guess that's not saying much at present.
Nope. Been playing it all the evening. (can provide proof if you don't believe me). It's ok. So far it's everything I thought it would be. Good graphics (tho not as good as the Internet makes them look somehow). Kinda grainy? Anyway it's nowhere close to sim so I don't know where that straddling term came from. It's kinda shallow. I find it to actually be kind of easy. Some locations definitely look better than others. India looks great. Not as fun as fh2. To be hon...

Hmm.. I bet the PC route would be the best way to go honestly. You probably get way more control options + steering wheel options + the added bonus of being able to crank the graphics up... even if that just gets you to "better than this" levels. it has a fairly lofi feel on the ps4 (and I assume xb1 as I haven't played it on that)
I certainly applaud their efforts to break from the track based route into open world. This concept ha...
ive been playing the beta. for me personally i found the handling to be awful. feels sluggish... like you really want to push hard on the sticks and even then you get a very dampened response... its actually frustrating. graphically its a mess. especially if you compare it to forza horizons 2 or drive club. on the ps4 (and i assume xb1 as well) it could pass for a ps3 game visually. everything feels flat, cardboard like and mechanical. when characters talk to you in the game, a poorly a...
was playing the beta on ps4... emphasis on "was". its just not very good. its also not great to look at either.
i thought its was funny.
im still so surprisingly pleased with this game. it may not be sim but you don't even think about it because everything is so freaking nuts. its like a more realistic burnout paradise with real cars.
@transporter47:
The kinect actually builds a 3 dimensional space and tracks depth and movement along with hand/finger movement, spatial relationships, facial tracking and a floor plane as well as creates simple rigged skeletons of tracked players (it can see where your joints bend etc). The playstation camera simply just does optical tracking and facial recognition (hence those big lights on the ds4) so its not nearly as sophisticated - i believe it can detect a floor plane ...
stupid. being competitive makes better products for consumers. a little rib poking keeps everyone on their toes. football teams don't go around praising their opponents. coke doesn't give pepsi a pat on the back. besides... Theres an advertising agency involved in the making of these trailers and they guide the devs on how to advertise/show off their product (while communicating the developers intentions). i know this because i do this stuff for a living. I just worked on the live...
you're in for a treat.
certainly more fun. ;)
I've been playing the closed beta of the crew on ps4 as of last night. Its... OK imo. Graphically its not that impressive. the handling seems mildly frustrating and slow... especially for an "arcade" car game. Playing it certainly didn't increase my desire to purchase the game which was pretty low to begin with.
I've been playing the crew beta on ps4. its not an attractive game... even on the ps4.
this game is meh. i have a ps4, and an x1 (and now a wii u) and i think this game is going to be limited at best. even in the video he runs into a fence and just bounces off. in forza horizons 2 you can break the fence, and then keep driving and make it a short cut, and then go explore after that... and then go upgrade your car, then test drive it, then tune it, then customize the paint then have the ability to gift them, look at other peoples cars, offer to buy them, race them etc...
DLNA? at least know what you're actually being sarcastic about.
hmm i knew about all of this except the typing with a gyro thing. wonder if thats easier than using the touchpad (which i have adapted to over clicking the dpad or sticks)
slick trailer. we'll see if it delivers.... i know i've been skeptical of the longevity and depth of this game but maybe the retail version will change my mind. I'm not super optimistic but will try to keep an open mind. that said, i really enjoy the marketing/trailers for drive club. beautiful and well done.
kind of disappointing reviews.... hmm. anyone play it?
