I played the TSR Darksun games but somehow managed to miss the Baldur's Gate games and Icewind Dale. I was very much aware of them - just never played them.
This instantly pulled 'Mars Attacks' from the back of my mind to the front. Now I feel like watching it.
It's not that it's "kiddish looking" as much as what it actually is; another rumble game with over-the-top silly characters with 'big personalities' and not much else.
Even if people weren't hoping for another Hellblade type game, they weren't hoping for this - I think this is the 'last' thing most people wanted.
Looks like it has potential - can't sneeze at that. Could be a nice, story-driven action-adventure. Here's hoping.
BG has enormous PC roots. Just can't happen.
That's the kind of levity America needs right now.
Hellblade was a great game.
I don't need to have played it to be disappointed. I 'did' say that it 'looks' terrible.
It's just not what I had envisioned when thinking of a new Ninja Theory game. I don't expect the studio to stick to Hellblade type games, but this... this is just the furthest thing I had in mind, and frankly, I think this is the worst result we could have gotten.
That looks terrible.
Can't wait to start interfering :D
We always hope to be pleasantly surprised.
Also, Sony can do some damage from the side; they don't need to show up at all. They could simply reveal some The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding game play creating a significant diversion.
Totally fair.
Also, it's a game expo. It's worth watching even if you don't expect much from Microsoft.
I think as long as the PS5 does well, we'll see a PS6.
They should be as long as they keep this up.
That's the best thing to hear. This is their bread and butter.
Microsoft is connecting all its brands. I woke up, put on some coffee, and the Xbox app is now the "Xbox Console Companion" at least on my PC. I haven't used the phone app yet.
After about an hour when you're a little more acquainted with the Cascade region. Takes a minute to find its footing, but when it does, it's great, and it does nothing but climb from there.
Phil Spencer's sweat.
Agreed. COD4MW, MW2, and Black Ops were all a great time. Hoping this brings a lot of that original Modern Warfare feel back not just stylistically, but also gameplay-wise. Simpler game play with better graphics.
This is an opportunity to make a nice, emotion-heavy campaign as well.
I think this is going to be brilliant. Can't wait to find out more.
