I'd give it a '9' as well; very pleased with the overall product. I've been playing in spurts when time allows and I look forward to it every time.

Pure fun.

This looks great and I'm glad it's not turn-based. Being able to revisit this world after so long from a different perspective looks like it's going to be a treat.

You can't please everyone; I imagine if this game were a remake (more in the realm of remaster) that stuck too close to the original you'd have people calling it a cash grab. Prettier graphics/same game wasn't going to cut it.

Exciting - can't wait to go back to thi...

When I gaze upon that image I imagine an emotionally stable woman with a healthy attitude and no mental baggage. Drama free and altruistic.

Thanks bro.

I already feel a tingle.

It has the same style inventory screens and menus; looks like there's a lot going on. Same smoothness as MSGV, but everything else looks different.

I expected Death Stranding to have similar design aspects, but yeah, that's where the similarities seem to end.

I personally found them to be endearing. They were all well acted/voiced and I thought most of them to be essential. People from varying social classes with varying skills.

Without the characters being as well written and acted as they were, I definitely wouldn't have enjoyed the game as much.

But, you're entitled to your opinion.

That's just ridiculous my man.

The game is worthy of praise in any case.

Better to talk about its merits than get worked up over a misleading headline.

Just played a game where a flashlight was my one true weapon. Blair Witch, which I did enjoy. Something tells me this could come to GP though, so I'll wait.

This is narrative-heavy, straightforward game that's wonderfully presented. The setting is superbly illustrated, the story is well told, and the characters are great.

Definitely a worthwhile experience.

"Some even called it Metal Gear Postman."

I lol'd.

I like the developer's explanation but they shouldn't be defending themselves.

It's your game; make it as you like.

Makes sense for a guy slogging it across the country I suppose.

It looks deep and complex yet manageable with an interesting premise. I've watched quite a bit of game play now and I'm fairly certain it's worth the buy for me.

Looks like quite the experience.

The "BETA" classification at the bottom left needs to be moved closer to the streamer (directly under him actually) to remind him of what he is.

Calm down, buddy.

Yeah man, I barely remember it. I played it for a little while and moved onto other games, but that sucks for everyone - especially the newer generations of kids being introduced to the series by their parents for the first time.

Always a welcome voice - Mark Hamill.

The original Gears of War will always be special to me. The game's pacing and overall darker tone make it the unforgettable standout of the series to me.

The Kryll were terrifying for one. Needing to be the in light half the time along with the dark, gritty color palette and areas like that dark, dark, stormy factory area gave it a special horror element that none of its successors had. That said, after playing the Ultimate Edition I decided that it really hadn't ag...

I thought the inclusion of Sam and his story line was great. Sam was a compelling and likable character. Just because Sam was never previously mentioned doesn't mean he has no value.

And what part of Sam's inclusion doesn't make sense? Necessary for the story, no, but he's definitely an interesting and worthy inclusion, and he makes sense in the story - quite a boon to it really.

He's not Nate, but he's definitely a Drake and a gen...

That's a good thing and it means they're more than side quests. When side quests alter the main campaign are they really just side quests?

They're not mandatory yet they alter the campaign. They're important. Good news for this game.
