They will probably be cheaper than that. Look at DVD players; I got one right when they came out for $600, now you can get a decent one for $30-$40

I went from Xbox to PS3, because I hated seeing all the amazing games going to PS2.
The Wii Fad will be over soon. Also, isn't there supposed to be a $399 PS3 soon? And (If this deal is still going on) if you sign up and use the Sony Visa card on the purchase of the PS3 don't you get $150 off? I'm terrible at math, but I think thats roughly $250 for a 40gb PS3 which is $20 or $30 cheaper than the Xbox360 Premium edition. Oh wait that's the same price as the Wii. :O
First of all times are different now, and with everyone wanting HD TVs they want HD gaming and HD movies. Where can you get this awesome combo? Also, since you own a 360 you're not going to see it being a distant 3rd because you hope your investment pays off, so, in a sense, you become blinded to reality.

The 360's exclusives aren't nearly as good as PS3's. Well that's my opinion, and I agree I don't think HS and Motorstorm are next gen, but they are good. Also, Sony has always been about innovation, and it's franchises. That's why the PS2 beat the original xbox even though the xbox was more powerful. It just happens this time around the PS3 has the Sony Franchises and is more powerful.

I would agree, but you have to look at overall machine design. The 360 was designed to use the GPU as its main piece of graphics hardware where as the PS3 was designed to use the cell for all the tough graphic nosense and the GPU as just a minor texture producer. I'm not fooling myself with this stuff..sorry.
No, it takes time to harness new technology. When the dual core processors came out no one knew how to program for them right away, and they had a base knowledge with a single core already, but now it's a completely different type of processor. It takes time.
The only reason why the PS2 won against the more powerful Xbox was because it had more proven franchises. This time around the PS3 still has it's franchises and is the more powerful system. Not saying the Xbox 360 doesn't have it's great franchises, but it's technology is older. A couple years with technology is a long time, new technology is coming out weekly now a days.
It's not the 360, but its hardware. It's much easier for developers to tap into the power the 360 has to offer because the technology has been around for awhile.

Sony has the support from developers, not just the PS2, and last time I check I think Sony makes the PS3. I could be wrong though.
