Ya Chris the "PS3 has no games" rant is a thing of the past. Trust me though you won't regret picking up a $399 PS3 or well using the Sony Visa Card you can get it for $299. I don't know what type of games you are into, but Sony has them all and always has. KZ2 looks awesome and what not, but I don't think it's a game to wait for. There are great games out right now like Folklore if you're into RPGs, Resistance if you want a great story line to follow or some awesome FPS multiplayer...

Targeting casual players will come back to get them in the end. Since these companies make most of their money with the attach rate, or to simply for some of you on here, how many games there are per system unit. Nintendo's problem is that Wiisports is the main game the "Wii People" bought the Wii for. Of course there are some more die hard Nintendo fans that bought it for another Mario game or Zelda, but other than that the Wii is nothing but a fad that will die out soon.
You won't see any effects for a while. From what I can see the only effect will be cheapers SKUs in the future.
I don't think it is, but people like to argue about this. Didn't you see Europe's hardware sales for last week? I think PS3 beat out every console by a fairly decent percent margin. I think if developers wait too much longer to release the proven franchises like MGS or FF then Sony may have a huge problem, but until then they should be fine. Didn't epic themselves state that UT3 will look better than Gears? We all know gears looked great (You xbots keep cramming that down our throats), but gears is way in the past now (a year is a long time with this stuff) and it's time to make room for the new stuff.

No, it will be 10+ years before Microsoft releases it. That will be roughly 4 Xbox consoles from today. Also, Sony's Home seems to be more user friendly; it looks less complicated.
Um, excuse me, but what he said is absolutely true. I remember xbots saying that they thought the idea of Home was "gay", and now since there is a possiblity of something like it to be on the xbox they like it. Also, your post was very educational; thank you for the insight.
