Slick trailer. The E3 trailer was much better, but its great to finally have a release date. Bioshock, Splinter Cell, and Heavy Rain (if rumors are true) are gonna kill my wallet for Feburary though.
awesome announcement. I'm expecting this to be announced at Sony's conference along with the Japanese Import store. It would be sweet if they went ahead and announced the Sega and PS2 stuff too, since its pretty much confirmed.
I dont think people have been waiting to buy a wii. If they wanted one, they would have bought one already, like the 360. I think this is to stay competitive with the PS3 in the value per dollar aspect. Consumers see a wii, but for $50 more, you can get the most High Def console, a blu-ray player, games people care about, and a large HDD serving as a media center.
For the most part I agree with GameInformer's stuff, so this should definitely be a good game. Im not buying though, I also believe that Forza is "the" game for 360 in 2009, not Halo like everyone is hyping it. Forza will be AAA.
Great to see a nice, clean debate here for once. I think the topic of reviews of ports are interesting, but ultimately I think that the reviews of these games should be on the merit of the game alone ignoring previous versions, as long as they werent on the same console.
I think Reach should go to the PC as well as 360...I mean its the last Halo game from Bungie....
I dont think its fair to review this game with the 360 version in mind, this game is targeted at those who havent played the 360 version. I actually think they shouldnt even mention the 360 version because NG2 is exclusive to 360, and they should review this game on its own merit.
Would that make them bigger than Activision?
MS is not going to release their 2 biggest franchises ever in 1 holiday season, and at the same time launch Natal.
They arent stupid, Gears 3 is 99% a 2011 game, which will be announced in 2010 with a beta.
What about DMC5?
This is his job guys. Dont be harsh on him. What is he supposed to say?
Its definitely good to keep expectations down, I mean sony had possibly the biggest E3 ever (in terms of announcements) and Gamescom was unexpectedly huge for them. The highlight will be motion controls.
For me, all sony needs to do is release new info on The Last Guardian, a release date and preview of GT5, and a new announcement from Level 5 (regarding their next project). If they do that the competition will be irrelevant IMO.
How does the game have long loading times when it doest even have loading?
All of us in the multiplayer beta also know that the loading times for MP are actually very good.
Giving sound a 7 is pure BS. The voice acting and soundtrack of the first was too amazing, theres no way they screwed it up.
I find it hard to believe that people wont be pleased with the durability factor. 12 hour long "epic" single player. Multiplayer and Co-op. What else ...
Come on dude. Wrong zone.
I dont understand. How can we have this comparison when sony hasnt even previewed he game to the press? We dont know much about GT5. How the hell can the author just assume that GT5 will only have 20 unique tracks, limited customization, and community features when PD hasnt even shown anyone the game yet?
inFAMOUS achieved the highly respectable 85 of an average score, which is an amazing achievement for Sucker Punch's first PS3 title on a new graphics engine built from scratch in only 3 years. It also received 9s from the big sites like IGN, Gamespot, and Gametrailers. It is no where near disappointing and it wasnt even hyped to the extent the author implies, utter crap.
What a crap article, I wouldnt be surprised if people approved this.
I almost dont want to say it, but GT5 almost looks real. Like, really real. I just didnt think this was something we would get in this generation of consoles. Congrats to PD for this accomplishment. Its the best looking racer, and possibly game Ive ever seen.
We need more diversity to the enemies IMO, also the driving segments werent that great, at least not as great as the other parts of the game.
Some new AI and nicer graphics would also be greatly appreciated.
Keep the pacing and story presentation like Episode 2, that was the best HL to date IMO. Gun play could also use a bit tweaking, make it so I can really feel the impact of my shots (new physics would help this).
The keynote will be more about business, the conference is the one that everyone cares about.
