Did you even read the Developers Blog? Microsoft Owns title, Microsoft won't PUBLISH the game themselves so the developers were out sourcing for publishing. No Publishers would fund them cause they wanted multiple SKU's.
That Sir is truth, and in statement means Microsoft blocked a fan base from owning a potentially great game cause they wouldn't even publish it themselves.

It isn't the actual pass that helps developers. Its the fact that you buy the game new because it has the pass included that helps developers. But at the end of the day its a giant chain reaction of crap.

I want to agree with this blog i really do but i can't.
Simply put like everyone has already said. You are asking or more so telling them it's only worth 45$ when in fact it isn't. The DLC is a reward and only meant for people who bought the game new. That isn't up to Gamestop to honor that, that is up to the publishers to stop doing. You can not go into any establishment and tell them what something is worth because that isn't how a used game store works....

It needing better read write speeds (But that could be fixed with hardware and firmware updates) i can agree on and the option to manually install an entire game rather than part.

Abandoned Blu-ray? Why is that? I don't know if you were around with the transition of VHS to DVD but it was very similar. When Blu-ray first came out a movie cost anywhere from 30-40 dollars vs its DVD costing 10-20 dollars. The media is actually dropping drastically in price so that means cheaper production and cost. Honestly they do it for the developers and to make money. By buying used games you are not showing the support to developers. This is because of stores like Gamestop, when they buy your game they make full profit on the sales the developing and publishing companies don't see any of it. This also helps with piracy in ways.
