Trust me, I'm a business consultant and a broker. I know business, and this will do wonders for my portfolio, though my absolute love for the industry would never condone monopoly practices.
@Obscure
Knowing all those companies' histories, they were ALL small developers before Sony purchased them. Furthermore, all of those companies combined would not equal the size of a Bethesda and Activision. Acquisitions are a massive part of business, but wh...
Oh, but you do. Buying out the market to suffocate the competition is equivalent to strangling your lover for not choosing you. They are willing to practice a "if I can't have the industry, nobody can" mentality. I wouldn't approve of any of the 3 doing this; it's toxic and very insecure.
It's simple, Mr. Cruz, PS Now is an option NOT a lifeline. Sony does well enough to offer it if you want it, but you don't need it to enjoy their platform. Without GP, the XB wouldn't have a prayer.
Oh, it's Mr. Cruz again, singing praises to anyone willing to put a few pennies in his cup. The very example as to why companies like MS can bring their cancerous business practice under the vail of being "consumer friendly."
The same people are slow to pay full price to support the devs and keep things like this from happening. It is what it is; MS will regret it.
Exactly, don't be so certain the industry will support this. They've not supported MS efforts thus far.
Yet another me minded consumer aiming to benefit for themselves without seeing the bigger picture. This can have a very negative effect on the entire industry. Though, I am faithful that Sony and Nintendo will both come out on top in spite of this.
This is not a boss move it is a desperate one. I get it to buy the market, but what happens to those not willing to support you? You have to remember that money is short, so those paying premium for these consoles aren't in the market to spend again.
My thoughts exactly. Without the market share, this is a punch in the face to those on other platforms. They'll learn, people don't take kindly to being hit; they often want their lick back.
Sony nor Nintendo needs to counter, as this is XB trying to mask its inability to compete by innovating through development. Buying up the industry is an element of fear, not prowess. This has the potential to explode in their faces. Stay tuned.
I see that the title was changed. Now, all is good in the universe. Inappropriate....🤣
I agree with the developer, as they created Ratchet, Sunset, and Spiderman. The title exudes envy as it attempts to diminish the success of Spiderman by mentioning Sunset Overdrive as its life force. Insomniac never quoted it that way.
Sure you do, that's how proper analysis works; it's not something you can eyeball.
Furthermore, Sony has publicly denied Bloombergs' claim of PS4 production to counter PS5 shortage.

Actually, I saw 5 SXs on shelves in two stores this weekend, and the reps said they'd been there for a couple of weeks. They stated that people were wanting the PS5 instead. I was actually surprised with all the current narratives in the media. This scenario does support the fact that the PS5 is outselling the XB by at least 100k weekly. I personally have purchased 3 PS5s, myself, and will be grabbing another one after I buy my Steam Deck.
As far as the Switch goes, it's a casual system. Casuals far out number hard-cores much like McDonalds does The Eagle's Nest. It sells exclusives and legacy games; they are in a different market, really.
There's nothing about the Switch that uses the features of premium 4k or 8k TVs, which are priced between $2k-20k. The customers that purchase on this level are who the PS5/XBSX appeals to while the Switch isn't included in this conversation.

@Magog
They're willing to allow MS to pay their cost up front. That's their community, so there's nothing that can be suggested. Let Sony continue to have the premium customer base, which allows them to innovate with Controllers, VR, and blockbuster gaming, all of which cost.
There is literally nothing premium about the SX; everything handles cheaply. It was definitely a "just in case" purchase for me.
For those who enjoy it, this is probably good information. Game's decent enough; it's not any worse than Destiny or Anthem.
It doesn't make too much sense because it's not there. I say good, start focusing on developing a next gen only ecosystem. Incentivising the new system purchases.
Yes, we should stop expecting it anymore.
