The industry needs more of this man.
I can understand exclusives based on financial and development size difficulties, as well as first party developers, only able to provide for one system, but politics in the video game industry and moneyhatting developers/publishers capable of releasing experiences on multiple systems needs to stop.
Unfortunately this will lead to the downfall of SteamOS and the Steambox, and I see it becoming irrelevant to the public (despite more...
Not really, "best" is subjective.
I'm no longer interested in Mario, no longer interested in Zelda... From what I've heard, Bravely Default becomes incredibly tedious during the second half of the game, forcing you to fight the same bosses every chapter.
The only game I'm REALLY interested in is Rune Factory 4, which is cancelled in Europe. And I can't import because of region locking.
It certainly has an overexaggerated library.
Well, it's 5+ years time the best time to get the next gen console? It'll have a hardware revision, be a cheaper price, and will have a large library to choose from, each with their own price drops.
I'd assume that's when the Japs would switch over.
I'm surprised Persona is that low, considering P5 is the most wanted game in Japan.
To those who complain about the difficulty and hand holding, the game was slightly designed to be that way.
Danganronpa 1, is designed as an introduction and leads players into the world, whereas Super Danganronpa 2 (coming this fall to the west) was designed for those who have completed the first game, and offers much more engaging, challenging gameplay. It was also voted one of the games of the year when released in Japan, and was met with fantastic critical acclaim.
Incorrect, the 3DS has some good games, but nothing like this whole fountain of incredible games that it's lived up online.
See: Online stigma. The Vita is seen as this system with like, two worthwhile games and the 3DS is seen as this device with a plethora of amazing games constantly being released... Both of which couldn't be further from the truth.
Both systems have incredible games, but not a plethora. Many of the ones available on the Vita are either not...
Which makes me wonder why the 3DS does so well in the EU when an XL bundle with one game and no charger is more expensive than a Vita bundle with three games and a 16GB memory stick.
It's a combination of poor marketing, no "killer" games (despite having a large amount of great hits, and amazing niche hits), and strong online stigma.
@lilbro Actually, the best version is the Vita version, which comes with exclusive worlds, trophy support, wifi/adhoc multiplayer, two different touch based murphy control schemes...
Even so, as far as beta testers go that's pretty disgusting.
Microsoft lost a lot of fans this generation, and the ones who actually stuck with them, and supported their system within the first few months are now basically getting a middle finger from the company who are now rewarding those who didn't support them from the start with a free game and £30 off.
Decisions like these aren't made and implemented overnight, and this has naturally been planne...
Persona 4 Arena was region locked, and P4AU could go down that route.
Nintendo devices are naturally region locked, and therefore PQ cannot be imported.
Meaning that the only games you could import to EU without importing the entire system are P5 and P4D. Though P5 is the only one that really hugely matters anyway.
It's insulting to the early adopters who paid £30 more and don't get a free copy of Titanfall.
It is not sexism because you cannot play as a woman in a game.
It is not sexism if a single or multiple women are represented in a sexualized manner in a game.
The word in any of the cases is "distasteful" if you are upset. You make your entire case invalid by saying sexist.
Total sales 5m?
It was announced the sales were 5.3m.
No matter how many times it is posted, remember that Vgchartz is not accurate.
Before anyone comes in crying and disagreeing, note that I did not once say Monolith, X or Xenoblade are bad things. Monolith are excellent developers and X does look to be shaping along nicely. Now then...
Just like I said to the guy in the Vita article, I'll say it here.
This game will not be a system seller.
Why? Because it's a niche title.
The average gamer doesn't know or care about Monolith or Xenoblade. And if it were to bec...
Lack of unique games? Sure, they may not be system sellers, but there are unique games.
Want to know the most popular titles on the 3DS? Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Mario Racing... Those don't sound pretty unique to me.
Now, let's hear what popular titles are on the Vita? Gravity Rush, Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice. Sure, you've got remakes like P4G (the highest rated Vita game), but they add enough new content to justify its existence, unlike Ocarina of Time 3D whi...
I like how the article focused on the "sleazy, overweight and unattractive con-men" but doesn't once mention the large amount of streams of "con-women" who actually play few games (and if they do, it's something like League of Legends) and gain an absurd amount of funding from wearing revealing clothing, treating the channel as some sort of softcore pornography center.
How on Earth this filth got approved was beyond me, but I advise against viewing...
Actually, DirectX is royalty free.
If you didn't legally purchase the operating system, then no money goes to Microsoft whatsoever.
Furthermore, it is entirely possible to emulate Windows applications on Linux and OSX, meaning that in this event, Microsoft also gain no money.
Am I the only one who read that as "sexist female video game character"?
For starters, it actually needs to be exclusive.
Treating Titanfall like an exclusive is the same as treating FFXIV like a PS4 exclusive.
I'd like statements of why you disagree with this comment. Shadow disagrees mean nothing if you cannot back up your reasoning.
I'm assuming it's the SteamOS/box comment, though that is the bitter truth.
