I own a custom built PC, but honestly?
It doesn't matter how significant the gap is. My PC is stronger than the next gen consoles, but certain games on the PS3 even catch up to it. Why? Optimisation.
With consoles, the developers know exactly what they're designing for. The hardware, down to the operating system... They know exactly how it runs, what you've got, and what to do.
PCs, the hardware is so diverse that it will never be fully optimised. So wherea...
This is coming from someone who owns both. Hell, i'm even going to attach an image just not to get random fanboy downvotes here.
The 360 controller is the worst controller i've ever held. And that includes the Gamecube controller. It's clunky, there's a huge ass battery pack at the back of it, the transition from joystick to D-pad is awful. The elevated triggers at the back only give it a tiny advantage which is drowned out by the large disadvantages it has. Dualshock ...
I don't know what to think of this.
I was hoping for a fully 3D explorable world that allowed you to smash obstacles and scenery to grow bigger... This seems kind of... On rails.
Then again, it is designed for children, and it's meant to be the PS4's answer to Crash, which was also originally on rails...
Meh, I'll pick it up if it goes cheap preowned or if it's on PS+.
Replace the cast of Heavy Rain with those goblins and you have all my money.
Actually, Omikron 2?
That ain't entirely true, D4 looks interesting enough for people to hang on to.
Though it is just a handful against an entire PS4 or PC library.
I ain't a fan of anything. I'm an idort, basically own all systems and a custom built PC so exclusives don't really bother me that much (the worst part is that I have a huge backlog and no time to play it... Or can't be bothered to).
However I respect developer freedom over publisher freedom, which is why I'm ecstatic for this whole indie push this gen.
No, not really.
Sony are doing that whole "reduced price upgrade" deal... So you should just play on your PS3 and pay like, a tenner to upgrade.
Wow, was that really their policy on the 360?
Man, they were dicks. I hope that they straighten up for this next gen at least.
I think the title is missing something.
"Every CoD and FIFA game is exactly the same".
That aught to do it.
6-7 years is the golden mark, Microsoft.
I can respect wanting to support your hardware for a long time, but keep it too long and it'll be hilariously outdated.
That... Kind of worries me.
If devs are confirming that launch titles are using 100% of the console's capabilities, then games ain't gonna progress that much.
Here's hoping that what they're saying is just reassurance BS.. Even they shouldn't have gotten fully around esram yet.
There's a new, updated one here. But I can't be bothered to see what changes they've made.

It's a dev kit.
I ain't holding out until we get official confirmation or the actual thing.
DirectX needs to die anyway. Supporting it is supporting lack of consumer freedom.
By supporting something open, you support the freedom to be able to choose where to game. So if you wanted to get a Mac, or move to Linux, the library is still open to you.
Well this is really next gen... A low quality, 4 year old game.
Wake me up when the dev of Cube World starts patching again... At least that has potential.
Exactly. If I was in charge of the Xbox, I would have looked at it this way:
"Okay, so the PS4 offers 15 minutes for free. We'll offer 20 minutes for free, AND an additional 20 minutes to Gold members. Giving a total of 40 minutes - 25 more than the PS4".
Not:
"Okay, so the PS4 offers 15 minutes for free. Err... 5 minutes. For Gold members only. Gentlemen, I have a good feeling about this gen".
I agree with your comments about Halo, but you can use any controller you want on a PC. Most support 360 ones out of the box, and there's software to allow you to use Dualshock and map controls. And personally I feel dualshock hits the spot in certain games over keyboard.
Plus, Uncharted 3 was fun.
Hey, I like AMD.
I've got a Saphire HD 7870 XT w/ Boost and an AMD FX 6300 Piledriver in my custom and they perform flawlessly.
AMD drivers aren't as bad as everyone says they are, and I've had no issue with them yet.
As far as I'm aware, US add the tax during sale whereas most other places have uniform VAT rates and display the price including tax.
So when you compare the difference, there's really not much in it left to cover localization costs.
I think it's neat, but it doesn't have the same charm as Wii Fit had. Nintendo got away with it because it was bright and colourful, and encouraged children to get involved.
Though this looks all serious... Something that only, what you Americans call "Soccer Moms" would be interested in.
