I think it likely has to do with accomodating people wiht 360 arcades or teh 20 gig pro's more than anything else.
Pretty impressive that they are still pushing for newbies, with the game having topped off (or what seems to be atleast but who knows), i think we might be seeing the tail end of their promos to get people playing.
Borderlands is one of the best games of last year, the DLC (excpet moxxi) was fantastic too.

And to be honest they shouldnt, they should get paid a fair price for the things they are putting out. No one would debate that, but Acti is asking 15 bucks for 3 new maps and 2 "repurposed" ones and thats BS. I wont be buying it unless i can find a gameshare for it our of pure principle.
Personally if i was going to stop playing MW2 (which is definately a possibility right now as its pissing me off lol) i wouldnt change to BF BC2 i would go to MAG. Its different and i never really enjoyed the BC2 beta (which really isnt fair i know).
Id be all over getting 3d tv's for my ps3's but i just cant justify the expense after getting all new 46"+ tvs for the house over the last two years when i could afford it.
Maybe ill get one at the beginning of next gen if they are cheaper and better quality, maybe.

I dont know how many times this needs to be said but one more time, they are well within their rights to do this. You dont like it, dont update. This will also combat piracy so thats a good thing as well. The small small fraction of people that will be get pissed over this is much smaller than the amount of people that might have engage in piracy or things similar to Jtag on the 360.
This is a good thing for the health of the industry and for gamers in the long run.
This is just a load of bunk claims, i highly doubt any of teh PS3 clusters have ever been updated AT ALL. The likely run their own custom linux os and dont even need the ps3 one.
