Having read through some of the comments on the technical stuff I have to say that with games that you install to the hard drive on the 360 that are like 6.7gb or whichever size isn't really that size on the disc? So what you are saying is that the game on disc is really say 4gb but then uncompresses to 6.7gb?
So in other words games on discs are compressed pretty much like a zip file? And thats why we have longer loading times so that files are constantly being unzipped?...

Yes its a known fact that the PS3 is capable of doing something like 2.9teraflops per second versus 360 at 0.8teraflops. But it's how you use that power, since the PS3's gpu is behind in technology vs the 360 gpu the PS3 makes up for the visuals via its cell processor so all in all both are pretty much on par.
It was a lot smaller than that if I remember correctly Oblivion on the 360 was around 4.7gb in total
Last time I checked PC games were using DVD so if PC games can offer better visuals etc well depending on your rig then how comes PC isn't having any issues with games on DVD? If PC still uses DVD then surely everything should be ok?

I know its not all about the GHZ I know I build and configure PC's and know my fair share on what is what. My point was that the 360 CPU still has a lot of muscle in processing power given it has 3 cores each running at 3.2ghz yes data calculations per second and level cach all take and affect of course also on whether it has the latest MMX instructions and so fourth. The 360 CPU runs at 3.2ghz and has 3 cores with 6 threads with each core running at 3.2ghz. Memory wise I can understand as 512mb in this day and age is extremely low. Graphics yes that too especially when the memory is being shared across the cpu and graphics chip in the 360 in the same sense this applies to the PS3 as well.
Microsoft and Sony should have put 1gb of ram in their systems at least...So I am hoping that next gen we will hopefully see 2gb or more ram minimum 2gb at leas...
