512mb of ram is really poor in this day and age, what Sony and Microsoft need to do is properly invest in a decent amount of ram AND a decent gpu in both systems. Only problem is with both machines being almost equal what will happen next gen? If both machines are easy to develope for and have similar specs as a developer it would be easier just developing for one system but i doubt Sony and Microsoft will come together but if they did...Oh boy we could see something truely remarkable.
I mean are you people blind? Low res textures in areas, mid res textures I mean in one part the word Fire Exit on the door was the wrong way around!!
Also the rubbish on the ground some of it is flat! Also you shoot a rubbish bag and it just ping pongs around! Poor physics, poor game poor visual attempt. All it is is a brightly lit game to hide all the flaws.
Look at Battlefield 3 that has objects that are properly rendered, really great looking visuals AND distructa...
There is nothing remotely remarkable about the CryEngine 3, all it does is show us it can make things look really really bright. Fails on everything else quite literally.
I've seen a video for it on the 360 marketplace an it looks really good, hopefully it turns out better than what Square Enix have made of late...
I've looked at the first 2 set of pictures really closely and they are identical and I quite literally mean identical even down to the creases and dust. It looks like someone just used the same picture for both versions and its extremely unlikely that every tiny bit of both versions is truely identical. So I call fake on these pics.
This is the part where I give a mature approach in the way of words and the use of big words and then I lose bubbles but you know what it's worth it.
First up if using DVD's is such a problem then:
1) Why do PC games still use DVD's?
2) Why aren't developers stopping production of 360 titles?
3)Why are there hardly any if any articles on DVD's being no good for gaming anymore?
Lets see the comparison of Son...
So this guys plays on PC's, comes on a gaming site and calls console gamers geeks? The word hypocrisy comes to mind *rolls eyes*
Also for your information the term geek is applied to more so PC enthusiasts rather than console gamers *rolls eyes*
I enjoy system building and configuration along with some problem so yeah call me a geek if you want but as a console gamer? There's nothing geeky about gaming its when you get technical then it applies ;-)
Wow you are something else entirely, well since you don't own either why are you on here? I mean you are losing out on soo many great games on top of which how can anything you say have any validity of any kind?
I own both the latest PS3 and 360 all about saving here and there, selling what i dont need etc all legally of course.
Sony might want the PS3 to last 10yrs but that doesn't mean they won't bring out another console before then. People are still buying PS2's, so even if a new machine comes out there may be many still buying PS3's especially with a huge drop in price.
There is no way that Sony and Microsoft will put that much ram into next gen machines. Xbox original had 64mb there is 8x more in the Xbox 360 and if we work on the same principal that leads us to 4gb of ram. That amount seems more likely.
Also Crytek do not have a say in this they failed miserably with their new engine showcasing Crisis 2 especially the PC version their first game was far superior in visuals.
Personally I found this to be a terrible game got it a couple of months ago as found UK versions on amazon and ebay.
The framerates are poor and so is the gameplay, also Two Worlds 2 was pretty much the same.
If you want a decent RPG thats the latest release get Dragon Age: 2
I lost 2 bubbles the other day and I hardly come on this site. Seems the haters and the poor pathetic fanboys PS3 ones as there is around 95% of them on here just dont like someone giving valid opinions with big use of words. Seems like it scares them as their tiny minds cannot comprehend and just hit the minus next to the bubbles.
So basically if you are educated and give a well written opinion then you will basically get attacked.
OXM are soo utterly misinformed it is NOT the retailers who are at fault, having worked for GAME I know why the prices are high.
Firstly you have to take into account the £10 fee Microsoft charges for having the game on an xbox 360 disc thats the licensing free. The prices are set by the wholesalers.
GAME make only around £3 per game sold and make around £10 per console sold, the prices in which they buy them from wholesale is expensive.
Nintendo doesn't need to create a console more powerful if they are smart they will just incorporate parts from both the 360 and PS3. So buying the parts on the cheap and create a new Wii 2. So when the new Xbox and PS4 are released Nintendo would then again buy parts in on the cheap...
It would be rather silly to price it anywhere near the price of a PS3 but I know handhelds have always held the high price tag but im hoping this wont be the case for the NGP.
The device clearly looks amazing with its capabilities so im hoping that it will be something like £139.99 for regular and £169.99 for top model.
Yes that sounds low but the PS3 in the UK is kicking about the £199.99 for the 160gb model on amazon.co.uk.
It would ...
The guy says in the above: I played the finished product on a console...
The rest makes sense basically saying it was coming to xbox but now played in on the 360.
But upon reading the article the person states having played the demo, then states was playing the beta hence the long loading times.
Now reading that clearly means the person could not have possibly have played the 'final' product. All a bit confusing.
I thought the first one was ok as a single player but the second one was terrible felt all plasticy and static environments.
To be honest I am not even the slightest excited about this game, will probably get it for the single player but then will trade it in.
If Halo:CE remake does infact get announced theres a ton of Halo players out there that will leave all games including this and COD to play that online if the option is there...
Ive tried clicking it several times and even going directly to the site itself the pages just will not load, anyone else getting these issues?
Now its working.
Looks like its Kotaku or cacoo *rolls eyes* so let me get this straight, Gameinformer who dont make any consoles have confirmed this rumour whereas Nintendo who makes consoles haven't? Wow the world is sure becoming a more unsual place day be day *rolls eyes*.
I want in! :-D I am suprised they are now only talking about beta testing. An actual gameplay trailer of the game being played was up on the official site quite a long time ago so I thought the game would have been ready by now for going gold. But alas good things come to those who wait.
