It's not a "luxury", Nintendo Directs only cater to the tiny core of diehard Nintendo fans; the rest of the gaming community couldn't care less about them. Nintendo only started the Directs because they were too cheap to rent space at E3 and other events, nothing more.
It's Nintendo, what did you expect? They're cheap with everything.
No, they really haven't. They're nothing more than marketing babble that makes no difference in gaming. Wake up!
Absolutely fantastic shmup, I've been playing it quite a bit lately. It is also out for the PS3 as part of the cross buy, well worth the price considering the quality and replayability of this game!
Also Sky Force Reloaded is a fantastic followup to Anniversary, been playing it on my Samsung tablet (android obviously) and it's another great shmup. I hope they port Reloaded to the Sony consoles as well.
@ShowanW - There were rumors floating around about an improved PS4, you can bet that MS knew about the planned upgrade at that time.
I'm not "bitter" at all, why would I be? For the record, I was a huge fan of both the OG XBox and the 360, still own multiples of each console and hundreds of games for them. The 360 is one of my favorite consoles, still play it regularly.
Phil even admits they were uncertain about announcing the "Scorp...
Agreed 100%! Absolutely fantastic game, one of my favorite FPS games ever.
Flagged your shameful salty post as inappropriate, everyone else should do the same.
Related to Nintendo, you should hold that company accountable for their poor products, and no one else.
NX will probably bomb regardless, Nintendo is afraid to even announce it yet, 6 months from it's supposed release. Nintendo is out of the gaming hardware business at this point.
The "Scorpio" doesn't even exist yet, it's very disingenuous of Microsoft to have even announced it yet, and it's ridiculous that they're trying to hype it up on a daily basis. We all know why MS "announced" this theoretical console so early, they're getting trounced in the current console market and are trying to divert attention away from the PS4 Pro. It's a shame they bungled the design of the OG XB1, thinking that the Kinect gimmick would make ...
Dogos Is actually a pretty good game. And why do some people call shooting games "shumps"? It's supposed to be "shmups", short for "SHoot'eM UPS". "Shumps" doesn't make any sense, when you look at the full phrase.
I'm "surprised" about Microsoft's poor design of the XB1, maybe Microsoft should have left out the gimmicky Kinect and built a decent console? Yeah probably.
Yeah, having to draw silly shapes on the gamepad in order to make weapons was a really lame gimmick that pretty much ruined the game.
I'm sorry, but the games listed in this article are mediocre at best. And Star Fox Zero was ruined by the horrible controls. Pretty poor list, you'd think he could have come up with some much better titles.
Let's hope that Nintendo doesn't ruin the NX with the phony 3D gimmick they used on the 3DS. It really just didn't improve the gaming experience at all, in fact it made the experience much worse.
"So ill be screwed if my gamepad ever messes up"
Therein lies one of the fatal flaws in the Wii U. For any other console, extra controllers are inexpensive and easy to obtain as backups, in case your regular controller fails. For the Wii U, if your gamepad fails, you're screwed; extra new ones are very hard to find, and are very expensive when you do find them (even refurbished).
This means that as Wii U gamepads fail over the years, many a...
So would you rather it be approved as "news"? Sounds good.
Don't shoot the messenger, you should be holding Nintendo accountable for their poor decisions, not trying to blame others.
There's no "salt" for failed products, the Wii U bombed hard and lost Nintendo millions of dollars. The gamepad was the albatross that drowned the Wii U, even Nintendo admits that. Maybe in your alternative fantasy world it was a success, but in real life it tanked badly.
There aren't going to be many more "birthdays" for Nintendo if they keep releasing poorly designed products like the Wii and Wii U. They need to stop being cheap and actually put out solid, well-designed, feature rich products in the future. Not the gimmicky junk we've seen for the last decade or so.
They'll need a lot more than "Nintendo staples" for the NX to succeed.
