If you have read some of the comments from other reviews, most people (the logical ones) complain about inconsistency in scoring, and the reasoning behind subtracting scores.

I think it could mean striking the perfect balance between realistic damage and gameplay that is not overly frustrating.
If it's realistic to the true sense, at over 100km/h any slight contact will send the car flying. That means you either drive slow, or no contact at all. That won't be fun for a game (especially beginners) and is just... unrealistic.

Those are called fans, or loyal fans. They love what they have, but respect the competition.
