They don't need to release in-game screenshots.
You'll get all the in-game shots and videos when the reviews are out, which is before it goes retail anyway.
I won't be spoiling my experience. I'm waiting til' I have the game for my own to see and feel the gameplay for myself.
If every journalist has praised the game in their previews, I don't need any more convincing. I'm buying it knowing I'll be satisfied whether or not I saw gameplay prior to release.

You mean 'when' it flops on the 360.
That's why they're already changing their tune compared to last year when questioned about the games' exclusivity. After watching each 360 RPG go down in flames developers of the genre are definitely changing focus.
RPG's were the reason I bought a PS3, mainly for Final Fantasy, but also because of the RPG's I can expect to see ie. new IP's as well as sequels to classics.
