Just cut down on shadows and AA settings.
They are GPU and memory hogs.
I used my GTX 560 1gb until about 1 year ago. Could run all latest games back then even though it was an old card. Just cut down on shadows mainly and AA then then most games would run SMOOTH as with max/ultra settings at 1080p giving 30-60fps.
NICE I just scrape by the recomended specs.

Just have the i7 2700k 3.5 cocked to 4.5ghz, not the i7 3770k 3.4ghz. Still Will be able t rock this game!
