Booting to linux is not disabled by Windows 10.
It is disabled by your bios.
Just disable UEIF in your bios.

My sisters laptop had the same issue, came with windows 8.1
She did not want that, so tried installing windows 7.
Nothing but issues trying to boot the dvd and what not, wouldn't let me make a partition in windows install.
Went to bios, disabled UEIF, works perfect now.
Ugh.

This 'next gen' is like what PC's could do over 5+ years ago.
