... Unless it's spectacular.
The PS3 currently has the best version, both visually and control-wise. The 360's benefits were Achievements (unless we get a Trophy patch) and DLC, which will be here by the time Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5 are.
No HDD is a huge fail... And with the optional install function coming soon, the Arcade fails even harder.
$300 for Pro, $350 for Pro 60GB, $450 for Elite. That should be it, there should be no Arcade.
I can tell you right now that if the Pro was $200, I would buy it.
A chance to take this guy for a spin early is never bad... I've already pre-ordered it though.
Thing is, why is the Beta coming so late? I hope they have the online function down, there's little more than a month left now...
I agree, and I'm very much looking forward to Borderlands.
However, the story could be so good that they need to develop the sequel at the same time, much like the 6th and 7th Harry Potter movies.
Your loss buddy.
... Am I the only one? I mean, basically, if it's COD4 with better graphics, more players online, and Trophies - which it looks to be - I'll be satisfied. COD4 had some of the best shooting mechanics of this gen, I don't want them touched at all.
Looks to control tightly as well and should be very replayable with Trophies/Achievements and multiple difficulties.
And hell, it might actually be scary.
I need a good, deep Sports game, so I think I'll purchase this one. Trophies definitely are a plus.

But a 3D sandbox Action game on DS? You must have your doubts too.
I'm getting LBP, Far Cry 2, BioShock, and Fallout 3 on day one.
Dead Space is day-one, and Saints Row 2 is a maybe - that's a possible 6 games in one month, and that's about $400, a whole paycheck... Damn.
It's just come along so well. This has looked finished for the past few conventions it's been showed off at. It's also my #1 most anticipated title of Q4 2008, so this is incredible news for me!
The PSP is already proven to be the most powerful handheld ever, by a landslide, with games like God Of War: Chains Of Olympus and Resistance: Retribution delivering PS2-quality visuals. Why then would they build a series that reached critical and commercial success with it's 3D iterations on a system that can barely hold up an N64-quality 3D engine?
Sure, the install base is bigger, not only the visuals, but the gameplay, are going to be severely hampered if even a minor piece i...
i don't think Sony will let this one be a 360 exclusive or a timed 360 exclusive; they put so much effort into helping Take-Two with the PS3 version of BioShock. And I bet that Take-Two are better developers now after learning how to work the PS3.
I'll be getting this day-one on my PS3.
Still a day one for me, but Far Cry 2 sounds so much more attractive now for a First-person game.
They'd better patch Trophies in within the month, after the exclusive DLC crap we PS3 gamers deserve it.
EDIT: Who the hell is disagreeing? Do you not want Trophies?
Then I'd get it. When it comes to expensive accessories (which I'm sure this will be), I stick to first-party only, whenever I can.
But look at it already; it's next-gen Silent Hill with good combat - I'm sold. Add Trophy support and I'm thrilled.
But it won't steal my future purchase of Burnout Paradise.
Straight 10's across the board, just like it deserved, and it's a PS3 exclusive - they're still credible.
The PS3 is the lead platform for Dead Space.
