'Nuff said.
Trophies are better but were implemented poorly. Sony needs to get strict and get them in all existing games if they want to be taken seriously.
Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Spore, LOTR: Conquest, Mercenaries 2, Rock Band 2, Left 4 Dead... It seems EA is really trying to change gamers' opinions of them, and IMO it's working.
All those games are easy purchases for me, and I'm saving up starting today.
And they're all multi-platform except Left 4 Dead which is only rumored to be, so everyone gets the goods.
DMC seems much more suited to the whole "play as you go" scene, what with it's mission-based gameplay.
Though, I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of backstory on Desmond, especially since he's voiced by the same guy who did Nathan Drake.
Last I heard was IGN reporting that the PS3-edition would have 2 new characters and bonus content or something.
I've been waiting for this game since the IGN announcement. The only JRPG on the PS3 is Enchanted Arms, which is a crappy port of a crappy game. Blah.
It's all but guaranteed that every new BioShock will be on the PS3 as well.
Day one purchase.
And it showed both versions' box art. Weird.
Anyways, my hype dwindled for this game after seeing some unimpressive gameply footage recently. All 3 Silent Hill games on PS2 (excluding Origins) had excellent graphics and terrific performance. Origins on PSP pushed the system too. Homecoming had better do the same.
A USB drive? Something we'll actually use instead of putting on display. Art books are always appreciated.
Playing cards are cool, I'll be playing Saints Row 2 asshole.
Maps are always useful.
Might be picking this bad boy up for the PS3.
And here's why: backwards compatibility with Rock Band DLC. Sure, the alure of creating original tunes in Guitar Hero IV is very tempting, but Rock Band has some great DLC, like the Disturbed, Metallica, and Queens Of The Stone Age track packs and the 2 Avenged Sevenfold tunes, personally. Knowing that my $20-odd isn't spent just to play them until the sequel comes out is a terrific feeling.
If Rock Band 2 can somehow add a Music Editor, it'll smoke the competition hands-down. ...
Let's hope it lives up to the epic premise. Those screens look great IMO and this one could really be a sleeper.
PS3 version FTW!
And after 4 others plus a prequel, different is impressive. I like it.
The Sands Of Time Trilogy was excellent all around. The story-telling of The Sands Of Time, the gameplay of Warrior Within, and the perfect mix of the two in The Two Thrones.
And I bet the PS3-version surprise is Trophy support.
I'd buy it for Trophies if it were $9.99, but probably no more.
Ah well, if upcoming games can't step up and incorporate Trophies, they're gonna sell less than games that do. Simple as that.
And Sony, get some damn backbone and make Trophy support the law. C'mon now. You don't introduce a kick-ass rewards system and only give the option of using it.
With 60-player lag-free online and the best graphics on consoles.
TROPHY SUPPORT!!!
... He's an idiot.
PS3 FTW.
Anyone flaming me is just gonna burn themselves. [/cheesy comeback]
Everyone knows Call Of Duty 4 looks better on PS3.
MGS4 alone moved systems and is the first in a chain to anchor the PS3 as #1. Soon we will get the FPS of the year Resistance 2, LBP, FFXIII, White Knight Story, God Of War III, Killzone 2, among others.
Soon the Wii audience will realize that it's barriers have already been stretched an inch from snapping, and they'll need a true next-gen console. They'll look to the PS3 for the best, most reliable hardware, best games, free online service, large ever-growing community, featur...
Seriously, this could be big. That just looks plain old fun. I want now!
