we'll see a new engine when HL3 is officially announced. considering we still haven't seen episode 3 yet and considering how decent source still looks, it'll probably be at least another year. but, i'm sure they have been building the new engine for a while now. AND, i'm sure when we do see it, it'll be as amazing and as versatile as Source has been.

not sure where you got your information, but the Halo 2 engine wasn't the same as Halo 1. then they modified the Halo 2 engine to make Halo 3 and ODST, and Reach is a new engine again. you have halo confused with COD, which has been using the same modified Doom 3 engine since COD2.

this award is such a joke. it's basically an announcement that to get recognized for making great games, you need to remove all originality and innovation. MW2 is crap. everyone criticized L4D2 for being more of an expansion. then what would you call MW2? a remake? a repackaging? garbage.
nobody with a capable pc has any reason to even consider crysis on console. guaranteed this game on medium settings will be miles ahead of the console version.
