I think the 360 sucks big time. So do all the fanboys who still praise it. But from an impartial standpoint, I'd say the best games on the 360 were:
#1. Gears Of War (yes, and Gears 2 will be equally impressive!)
#2. Mass Effect (so big and so detailed)
#3.GTAIV (despite being a huge disapointment, that DLC should hopefully reinvigorate a relatively limited game)
This is my top 3. But I'd rather play games on the PS3. It a more power...
..is that one with the 3 red lights where you have to try to get an evil corporation to get your system replaced. I believe it's great fun because X-bots are STILL going on about it!
:)
(P.S. I think RROD is worthwhile bringing up again and again until it finally goes away -which it won't)
Still waiting for something better to come along. Doubt anything will. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is simply the best game out there to buy.
Seriously guys, I just can't get over how good Metal Gear Solid 4 is. I find myself not buying the same volume of games since I jumped into it the night it came out. I never honestly expected so much. It was a welcome counter to the disappointment I felt with GTAIV's clear limitations.
Metal Gear Online is still up there with Warhawk, COD4 and UT3 (I only play UT3 for the funky mods). It completes the package and makes the game not only a masterpeice, but also the greatest game...
120. Uncharted
121. Motorstorm
122. Heavenly Sword
123. Lair ( yes, I said it. it rocked! )
I don't think it's so much a question about "class" as it is about "taste". All the people I know who have PS3s have a 1080p HDTV, surround sound setup and services such as Sky HD. Everyone I know with a 360 has an overly expensive paperweight.
Master Cheif can go suck Solid Snake's balls. Overhyped trash for kids.
I'm sorry pal. You're gonna have to face up to the fact that the 360 is made from recycled sardine cans and has the lifespan of a dragonfly.
The 360 was good when it came out. It kicked the arse out of the PS2's capabilities and still creams Ninty's family-orientated fad. But the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 4, which is arguably the most sensational videogame of all time in both visuals and theatrics.
The 360 has a loyal fanbase of which it should be proud, but the h...
Why it's called simply 'Resistance 2' and not 'Resistance: Dawn of man' or 'Resistance: The Chimeran War' or something like that, in the vein of the first, totally awesome shooter.
Who still plays GTAIV like?
Yeah, it's like why does everyone need to speculate?
This site should be called DR4G -DodgyRumours4Gamers.
Dude, you're a retard. You're 'Homeless' permanently. And did you ever actually play Lair? I think it was a fantastic game despite being heavily under-rated.
I think everyone should chill out. Home will be out when it's out. I'd rather they took their time with it than do an 'M$' and do a rushed, botched job.
"You mean the way the PS3 crushed the Wii, and the 360? LOL!"
-Yes. As Krakdol pointed out, wii-owners are children and women. I'd say wii-gamers, but it aint a machine for gamers. I know loads of folk who have one, but they have like 1 or 2 games each at max.
As for the 360, the PS3 has something that M$'s console is losing all the time -a little thing called consumer confidence. Which, given the economic stresses here in the west is a crucial element ...
If 360 owners are happy to pay for an online service, then I say let them. However, the silly charge for playing online certainly puts me off from ever using Live again.
Why pay for something every other company offers for free?
I agree with Fishy Fingers, if you buy the console, game and internet connection, what right do they have to charge you to play online?
Never had any problems with my PS2 scratching games. None of my friends who have a wii have reported scratching issues. And they were both DVD systems too.
But I have a mate who's entire collection has been damaged from 360 scratches. I figure it has to be some element within the unit being too close to the spinning disc.
It can easily scratch discs if it's on slightly uneven platform.
Hope they make a blu-ray drive for the 360. Best idea for all c...
Is this the same Halo 3 I played???
What about MGS4?
Or even Assassin's Creed?
Hell, Army of Two was more 'innovative' than Bungie's last outing.
I hear fanboys a-calling...
I found this kinda interesting but was shocked to see there wasn't a hamster inside on a wheel. Those wee dudes have one helluva awful work enviroment, what with the over-heating and crap exclusives...
Even if LittleBigPlanet made it to PC (which is very unlikely), it's hardly going to woo audiences like console version will. PC gaming is dead.
Until I see the very best games available on PC on release, my PC will remain only used for RTS games I can't get on PS3.
I make it no secret that I'd never abandon my PS3 for the 360. Honestly POG, I too would like to hear some arguments FOR the 360. Right now I'd never consider it again, not even with the DLC for GTAIV!
I just have no faith in M$. And I can't see anything the 360 has left that would make me go and buy one (they aint even that expensive these days...) I find it over-hyped and under-performing for what I want. But I'd like to hear your argument. Again.
Obama, I love you even more.
@jaysquared= Little Big Planet is unique in allowing gamers to build levels and submit them for others to download. It's a unique concept that is expected to bring in the wii crowd on a much more expensive system.
@GiantEnemyCrab= Sorry mate, but there are no AAA titles out at all in this generation, other than MGS4, so yeah, the PS3 has more!
@Anton Chigurh= The article IS about hardware you know?
Personally, I see the PS3 doing well, the fad that is ...
