This being related to the 360 is a little too easy for being a puzzle, don't you think? Often times the most obvious answer is not the correct answer. Just saying, even a 5th grader would instantly make the correlation. Who knows.
A part of me is laughing inside. Rockstar needs their ego popped after the mediocrity that was GTA4 (remember all the bugs upon release of the console version).
Speaking of Final Fantasy, Sony "stole" that back in the day because the N64's cartridge limited the amount of stuff Square wanted to put in the game. Sony, with the 700 MB CD, gave Square all the space they desired.
Odd, Square is now going against what they did in the past and backing the system that has less disc space. I guess money does talk.
Just so I understand, you think it's smarter to invest in 3rd party than in-house development?
"almost on the verge of dropping out"
Seriously, what made you come to that conclusion?
Let's have a bet. $100 on Paypal; put your money where your mouth is.
Don't fret, you will get your wish soon enough. I heard through an undisclosed source that Sony will kill off the PS3 to avoid the embarrassment it has created.
...in 7-8 years. :)
The PS3 is ONLY getting warmed up:
- still no Final Fantasy
- still no Gran Turismo
- still no God of War
- Edit: still not within most people's budget
360 has released:
- 2 Gears of Wars
- another Fable
- another Halo
- Edit: $200 price tag, 3 years in and only 70 more than the PS2. How much lower can they go? lol
Better question, why hasn't the 360 sold 40-50 million? Looks like they'll need to keep pump...
Yes.
I still remember when a friend bought a 2x CD-R (not CD-RW) for around $250 back in the day. Prices come down, it's only a natural cycle.
"More doesn't always mean better."
While true, but you'd sound like a retard saying "this game rocks cuz the single player mode is 2.5 hours long". In this day & age, that's an embarrassment.
If it helps you sleep at night, don't think of a Blu-ray as just a Blu-ray, think of it like a DVD.....on a lot of steroids. lol
"endless movies"
*sigh* Did it ever occur to you that he was trying to tell a story, in HIS vision, not a "oh sh!t, I only have 7 GB to work with" sort of story? The extra space allowed him to tell it in surround sound with no or little compression. You'll appreciate a good story when you graduate from junior high.
One is $200, the other is $400. I'm no economist but I think I can figure this one out. It's cheaper than the friggen Wii, why isn't it flying off the shelves?
I love it when people mention the PS2 when the RROD comes up. Let's try to compare consoles in the same generation, mmk?
Companies using the "beta" tag as a crutch is a whole different matter when fanboys do it. I couldn't care less if some kids on a forum argue about it but being in a never-ending beta is not good either (e.g. Gmail). There has to be a point to where you cut off the training wheels but not at the expense of releasing a shoddy product. I would tell Sony to release it soon under the guise of 1.0 "beta", give it 6 months of the flood-gates being open and once they know it can ...
Is it such a bad thing to be labeled a "beta"? At least it's free. Informed customers will know it's a very complex application that still has not been 100% tested, so expect a bug or two.
Come to think of it, Microsoft should have labeled Vista as "beta" after it was first released. RTM was horrid compared to now SP1 and eventually SP2. MS made you purchase a "beta" operating system, admit it. Why do you think the Server editions of their operating ...
Because what you said is not true within context.
- Bluray is too Expensive = True
But yet sales are sailing. Odd
- Bluray still tiny fraction of Market = True
DVD has been around since the late 90's (10 years ago) and players can be found for $40-50 with old movies costing a few dollars while new movies are roughly $15. Every Tom, D!ck & Harry have DVD players in their home. Did you honestly think Blu-ray was going to overtake DVD in a few days? How's d...
"same quality"
Oh my, did you just say downloaded movies from Netflix are equivalent to Blu-ray in terms of quality? lol You need to either upgrade from your 19" Walmart-special TV or get better glasses.
I'm beginning to think that's why certain games are selling equally or better on the PS3 - a fair amount of current 360 owners buy 2-3 consoles due to thinking "but the newer models are better". Obviously there's no way to prove it but I just have a feeling of the 23-24 million 360's, there are 3-5 million purchased out of spite or frustration of repeated RROD's. Watch as the software attach rate moves slower than the hardware sales; this will further prove this theory floating arou...
Good God, you really want Home to fail don't you? Some people conceal their bias, while others, practically paint it on their forehead. For your sake, I'm hoping the paint isn't permanent.
As someone who's played Final Fantasy starting from 1, I'm slowing coming to the realization that the Square I once knew has left and will never come back. Has Square made a memorable game since FFX? Seriously, FF12 was "passable" at best but the company that once took pride in quality vs quantity has slowly shifted their priorities. With each day that passes, my overall confidence in them making a game on the same level as FF10 (I won't get my hopes up for another game like 7) wan...
I'm not denying the possibility (since weirder things have happened in the past 2 years) but if this is true then this is the easiest riddle EVER. Seriously, why would Konami make it this obvious?
