Congrats Sony. MS lost the hardcore with their 100% focus on casuals with Kinect and complete lack of exclusives and it knocked them all the way down to last place.
Catering to the hardcore with plenty of great exclusives like Sony does work.

Multi player is a necessary evil these days with all the kids screaming "I won't pay $60 for a 10 hour game with no multi player". That puts devs in a position were they HAVE to put in multi player.
I'd rather pay $60 for a great 10 hour game than an open world repetitive game that is just go to point A and kill this person and come back to point B and I'll give you money missions over and over and over again.

WOW! Nine PS3 exclusives announced so far this year. That's why Sony has the hardcore locked down. Sony cares about the gamers while other gaming companies don't. We've heard all the excuses as to why the competition don't have exclusives like "its too late in the generation", well that's not stopping Sony.

Well the WiiU isn't looking too hot right now. The Wii came off of winning the current generation but I doubt the WiiU will repeat. Exactly. Kinect is a franchise killer. Fable used to be a 5 million seller but Kinect turned Fable the Journey into a 150k seller. Even Dance Central don't sell anymore.
Even the so called "better with Kinect" games sell less because of Kinect. Forza was also a 5 million seller without Kinect but now Forza sales have tanked with Kinect integration.
It was only just a matter of time. Exclusives matter folks.
