@jaydiggler... While I don't agree with EA and love single player games, all the games you've pointed out aren't 'linear'. They are open world single player games. There is a distinction between 'linear' and 'single player'
@BadBoyC... Yeah good catch. Still the only deal I have seen on the PS4 Pro.
Don't forget the 50$ gift card on top of the 50$ off. So effectively pushing price down to 299$ which is a steal IMO. GS might get a bad rep, but I traded in my PS4 for a PS4 Pro earlier this year when Horizon came out and they had a promotion going on which gave me back 200$ on the price. Great deal IMO.
Might pick up Wolfestein 2 as well. Not bad for 25 bucks.
Have you even seen the reviews for the new NFS? The game isn't even respectable enough to garner a shit rating. Seriously it doesn't even look worth 10 bucks to be honest
Got a PS4 Pro last year and am happy with it. I don't mind having a PS4 Pro version of the game. Yeah the XboneX version will be a little better, but the difference isn't as pronounced as going from previous to current gen.
Not to mention, the exclusive line up for the PS4 next year is all the games I'm looking forward to along with Red Dead Redemption 2
I don't care what some journalists write about this without actually working on this shit. You don't lose your shit when they show people's heads being smashed like a melon in Walking Dead. In fact you rave about that shit and when games start becoming more realistic, you whine about it being 'violent'.
The hypocrisy is high. This is exactly why I buy the Last of Us. I want a realistic zombie/action adventure game. Not some waterdown PG game.
Wow... 810P for the Xbox version with the most FPS dips! Ouch. Solid looking title for the PS4 and Pro.
Yes that is how it looked like a gen back. The graphics I saw show very little improvement to be honest from the 360 releases. This being a Xbox One X launch title makes it even worse since the whole point of the One X is way better graphics
I remember when 360 was at its peak and PS3 had just launched. I remember it having great single player games which were then exclusives such as Bioshock, Mass Effect. Hell, even Gears of War had a good single player mode and so did Halo 3. Even GTA4 had exclusive single player content on the 360. People think it was multi-player which helped 360 gain the market share but IMO single player games played an equal role at the start.
This tone of substituting backwards compatib...
I'm pretty sure Sony will drop the price at least temporarily to 350$ during Black Friday & around Christmas so this will make the void even bigger when the console launches. A lot of people forget that the console is still like 4-5 months out. Another thing people forget is that they showed nothing to me as a PS4 Pro owner that entices me to jump on the XBoneX. Yes it is more powerful, but that doesn't justify the 500$ price tag. It doesn't even do 60FPS for major titles! I...
Because it isn't a direct conversion factor. Resolution is GPU driven for the most part and FPS is both GPU+CPU. Regardless of what people say, the CPU in both the PS4 Pro and XBOneX are not capable of true 60FPS for challenging visual heavy titles.
People were going batshit crazy when they announced Forza to run at 4K-60FPS. Racing games are the least resource intensive games. Hell, even GT5 ran at 1080P60FPs on the PS3 which was a console that targeted 720P30FPS for ...
E3 for both Sony and MS wasn't on-par to be honest. I don't think anyone had a real killer game that would make one win E3 over the other. Sony showed more games and I was pleasantly surprised by the Shadow Of The Colossus remake announcement. Spiderman looked dope. Days Gone and GOW look great as well. MS showed hardware, so that balances the scale IMO
I think they purposely delayed demos/videos for Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding for next E3 which is why the line...
I remember when Kinect was code named Project Natal and everyone hated the name Kinect. Funny how that caught on (well at least till they killed it off that is). Regardless of marketing, Xbox Scorio doesn't align with their branding (although Xbox360 -> Xbox One makes no sense as well)
I'm not giving Gamingbolt any clicks, but I think it's simple. Sony created a console that was more powerful and cheaper at launch (since Xbox had Kinect bundled) and didn't announce a 100 security checks like always online, no used games prior to launch only to backtrack from it. Not to mention the games.
Playstation has always been a bigger brand than Xbox. Only reason why 360 was competitive was due to the 1 year head start and cheaper price tag. Take those 2...
I wanted a Mass Effect with Heavy Rain/Uncharted 4 level facial capture. I really hoped they would have achieved it this gen but I guess their priority was getting it out of the door soon. Such a missed opportunity.
It feels like no one at Bioware actually played the game and just made it in parts and pieces. Any other team like Naughty Dog, Dice, Guerilla Games wouldn't even allow this to go forward from the QA stage.
"it had a great holiday full of games like forza and gears"
Isn't that the same chant every year since past gen (or at least every alternate). Oh we had Forza and Gears or Halo. Rinse Repeat.
Both Halo and Gears this gen have been relegated to decent titles and nothing groundbreaking. Whereas PS4 comes out with new unique IPs like BloodBourne, Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn with much better critical acclaim.
Now with MEA turning...
I think the recordings helped a lot to blossom the story more. It also gave good pacing during action packed missions. I also loved the lore behind it.
I've said it before, but this was the best open world game I've played in a while. I really hope they add in more RPG elements for the next one along with a deeper skill tree as well.
I love Horizon and think it's one of the best open world game this gen. I was also looking forward to MEA and am bummed that it turned out so bad. The signs were there. Cancelled beta, virtually no hype/marketing from EA which made no sense since Mass Effect is a flagship AAA title. Still feel the pinch when one of your favorite franchise goes down the shitter hole.
Ah well. I guess I'll pick Nier and Persona once I am done with Horizon. Good thing is that there is ...
Rockbreakers are the most difficult machines to bring down IMO. Even more difficult than the Thunderjaw
This is Hideo un-bound creatively... MGS stories were twisted, but this looks like it is taking it to another level! You have my money Hideo!
