Seriously!! How could they have actually expected that to sell? Wii U gamers are idiots who spend their days on Mars, in cave, with their eyes closed, and their fingers in their ears singin' "la la la la la I am not listening!"
a company can't do that and then expect it sell well, and then have those sales determine whether or not to port the whole trilogy, when they really should have ported the whole trilogy to begin with.
They devalued th...
Unfortunately, they have said no.
However, they have also said that they are looking into some kind of bridge between our downloaded PSN titles an Gaikai. Hopefully, it doesn't mean we have to buy everything again. Though, it definitely means that we will have to be connected to the internet to play your games as they will be streaming to the device rather than made to run on the device.
Sounds like the author needs to grow up. I'm sorry but most of the time it's insecure 13 year old boys that find themselves embarrassed to play games like Mario. Older gamers know a game does have top have a lot of commence in order to be fun. Yeah that word. The "f word." I think people here on n4g have forgotten that games are ultimately about having fun.
I can't believe there are still people that believe that. You know people sound like ignorant fools when they say that, right? The Wii U is also sporting a sweet gpgpu. Well it's good enough for consoles anyway. Side from the ram, the difference in power between the wii u and the ps4 is not as disparaging as you believe. Now that ps4 is coming, and developers can now focus development on multiple "next gen" consoles, we'll actually start seeing what the Wii U it's act...
Regarding the whole Ipad/mobile phones thing...
I have been asked many times... "So what games do you have on your phone?"
I always reply, "I don't have any. That's what my 3DS(though I also own a Vita) is for."
Well, if they didn't announce the trilogy for 59.99 for every other console, then I imagine more people might have bought the game for 59.99. What a ripoff EA!
I was almost considering buying it until that announcement even though I already own the whole trilogy on both PC and Xbox.
Entitled much? Just because a company targets multiple demographics doesn't mean they have turned their back on the "core."
Were that true why is there still Maio, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Super Smash Brothers, Xenoblade,.Baten Kaitos, Last Story? And why are they producing Bayonetta 2?
If they were really abandoning the core, then why do they make more core games than casual games? In fact, why make any core games at all?
They didn't turn their back on the core gamer. Core "gamers" turned their backs on Nintendo. Nintendo only produced a handful of casual titles, but lots of core titles. At least 5 times as many core titles as casual titles. That said, why all the complaints about opening up to the casual market? Nintendo has helped make gaming seen as a more socially accepted hobby and had gotten people to play video games that before Wii no one could have ever imagined. I say, job well done.
@domceM
You clearly missed the point.
I didn't want to list out the many many awesome games that released on the Wii. In fact my Wii collection is actually bigger than my PS3 and 360 collection combined. Of course, my PC game collection trumps all of it. That said. Just because a lot of "gamers" didn't notice the amazing games, didn't mean that they weren't there. The Wii was my favorite platform last gen. Though I'd be lying if I said I...
How has Nintendo done anything wrong?
The Wii being cheap as it was to develop for helped insure some really talented developers like Platinum Games and Grasshopper Manufacturer didn't go under because of the high cost of HD development. The developers that have never really had high sellers were actually able to be profitable with the Wii.
It's not hate.
It's just annoying when console gamers try to talk big and say how "powerful" the PS4 is. It's very childish.
Stop talking about specs! And stop bashing other consoles like the Wii U for it's specs! Because at the end of the day there isn't that much of a difference between Wii U and PS4(besides the huge amount of ram), but there is a pretty hefty difference between consoles and PCs.
Gaming is about gaming...
It's so true. I can't tell you how many times I've had to explain that the Wii U isn't just an add on for the Wii!
Well, if they did, then they wouldn't be running their business very well, now would they?
And yet it had some of the greatest games last gen
Fragile Dreams
No More Heroes 1/2
Monster Hunter 3
Pretty much all first party offerings.
I could go on, but I won't. The point is, just because it wasn't HD, and was plagued by shovelware(made by 3rd party companies trying to catch the gravy train) doesn't make it a bad system. My Wii stood Proudly with my Xbox 360 and my PS3.
In fact if you missed out, Wii U is th...
As a matter of fact I am both a PC and console gamer. I just think console gamers shouldn't always be on about about the specs because it's not too crazy. It's like bragging about a really good pocket knife to a sword collector.
Sure it might be a pretty nice knife, but it's no sword. That said, it can be pretty cool in it's own right.
I'm not bashing console games. I love console games. I am just bashing the absurdity of console gamer...
Well, at least it's backwards compatible.
But if you try sometimes. You get what you need!♪
Oops. double post.
I'm waiting to see what they plan to offer. Who knows, they might bring something interesting.
However, for the time being, I kind of see my gaming PC/Wii U providing me with everything I need. I'll be getting a PS4 eventually though.
Oh and glad to see another gamer who recognizes how awesome the Wii exclusives were. Good times.
That said, I thought that the game "Lost Odyssey" for 360 totally justified my purchase.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
