You could also factor in the price of games on steam sale as well. $40 worth of steam sale games is a lot of games. And those game you keep.
Strangely enough, it also seems like main games are also becoming smaller and shorter.
I'm really hoping that this will be just like Mantle in the way that I won't have to buy a new card. Also, I hope it'll work with Windows 8, and not force me to wait for Windows 9.
ClevelandSteamer, while some of the points you made are valid, you're far too dismissive regarding things that are largely subjective; such as Crash Bandicoot and Kinect. Furthermore, PS4 will become a much better bluray player after a number of firmware updates are released. PS4 was rushed to the market. As evidenced by something you've already pointed out... the fact that PS4 is using off the shelf mobile parts.
I completely agree with your points regarding consoles...
PC gamers didn't create the term "PC master race" and "Dirty console peasants," the term was first coined by "Yahtzee" of "Zero Punctuation" fame, who is a primarily console gamer. The term was used in a joking manner regarding the perceived elitist attitude of Pc gamers towards console gamers, which hardly exists. It's not an elitist attitude so much as a "Why are you guys limiting your experience and spending so much freaking money" ...
True that.
Guess what happens when you put a PS3 game into a PS4? Nothing! PS2 games and PS1 games don't work either. And yet, not only do PCs play games from every generation, they can also emulate almost every console.
Where are you getting any of your information from, anyway? You are so misinformed I don't even know where to start.
Okay, first of all, there are no apps that make anything go faster. And yes, every few years, it's probably a good idea to u...
I'm really disappointed they ditched the touch screen.
I think you are greatly oversimplifying things.
It only takes about a minute for me to boot up my system and start a game. Longer than a console yes, but for such a vastly superior AND cheaper experience, I don't really care. Besides, you can't exactly do work on a console, nor can you mod games.
PC is the smartest choice because it is the cheapest overall, and can be used for more than just gaming.

They absolutely do. As long as you already have the homebrew channel installed. You should be able to download Gecko OS or Neogamma loader strait through the homebrew browser.
As has already been said, use gecko, or any other number of apps. You'll only need riivolution if you want to replace the English audio with Japanese audio, which I've also done using a European copy. If you want a link to the patches and a video explaining how do do it, I'll happily help.
Xbone isn't either.
I loved Fatal Frame 4 and the Fatal Frame 2 remake on Wii. Yes, I modded my Wii, but no I didn't pirate the games. I bought Fatal Frame 4 during one of my Japan visits, and I imported the other. Worth every penny!
If he has taught us nothing, he has taught us to be weary of hype and lofty promises. I'm not quite willing to believe everything they say, but I still have no doubt that they are crafting a stellar game, as evidenced by their previous work on the last two games.
"There’s little doubt that The Witcher 3 caters to more mature audiences. With adult themes such as execution and a variety of other intense content..."
This part made me chuckle a little because it's usually kids that are trying feel like they are "mature" that make such comments.
That said, I can't wait until this game releases~ It's a good time to be a PC gamer!
I wonder if you played it after Sony's extensive patch of the game. The game was basically broken on the PS3 at launch, but the boys at Sony got too work on a patch for the game that fixed pretty much everything. Top them I say, good job!
Well, that's because this is a /real/ Final Fantasy game.
Well since Sony has made it clear they aren't interested in the Japanese market, I'd say this makes sense.
Prices are indeed crazy in shops. Building is the only way. Besides, building your own brings with it a sense of pride and satisfaction that your PC is unique and yours alone. That's why I always tell people to think carefully about the case they choose.
