"...users weren’t happy with the original Wii’s controller layout in... FPS titles"

I beg to differ. Any fair minded gamer that has given the controller a serious chance, without deciding they wont like it before hand knows the controller is great for FPS games. I have all 3 consoles, but I bought Black Ops on Wii for a reason. Playing Goldeneye on the system at my place, players that consistently switched between the dual analog setup, and the wii remote/nunchuck s...

Funny stuff... Well, going to Japan helps too. Everytime I get on the train I get 10 hits.

I can tell it's cut back, but I don't really care. The 3D effect is pretty cool, and I really love the Nintendo D pad. I grew up playing Street Fighter II on the Super Nintendo, and the controls just feel right. Plus the street pass is also a fun distraction. Tekken though.... I think I'd prefer that on Vita for sure... It's just a better fit for Sony. Oooooh can't wait until PSV comes out!!!!

I'm really disappointed by this. Honestly, had they released a second skew with Gamecube backwards compatibility and more internal space for 100 more, I'd totally buy that!!! Right now it's looking like it's going to get even more crowded in my gaming area. Wii, Wii U, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360..... too many!!!! I want to retire the PS2 and the Wii, but Nintendo and Sony won't let me!!! At least the Xbox 360 had limited backwards compatibility that lets me play the Xbox games tha...

All of them can. No dice on the PS2 games, though.

This was the game that made me a hardcore gamer! ...that's why I use the game's art for my avatar. I love this game more than I can explain with words. Many fond memories of this game(original GB version) from when I was in elementary school... Man that was a loooooong time ago.

I'd say they're both pretty neck and neck! Vita has Uncharted, but 3DS has a lot for fighting game fans. Both are going to be amazing, and I can't wait to get a Vita too!!!!!

Heck yeah! Wii U or PS3 with move FTW!

I agree. Because I agree you live in France. Sorry, just wanted to be one of those random people that click agree for mysterious reasons that we will never understand. :P

It's sooooooo much better. For being so story based, the dub was terrible!!!!!!! Gotta' go with the Japanese voices.

Heck yeah!!! That's the way it should always be... *glares at Nintendo for the 3DS*

I love that the PS3 is also region free, because I was able to buy the Chinese version of Final Fantasy XIII which had Japanese voices and English menus/subtitles! Maaya Sakamoto is my absolute favorite voice actress, and to not be able to hear her as Lightning is a travesty!

Exactly, although running at least 3 times faster, the architecture between the Wii and the Gamecube is very very similar! So, I don't understand why it's so much of a stretch!

On a random note... really bummed they didn't announce a NA release for Last Story and Xenoblade!

True. But I really want to retire my PS2, and I'd like to retire my Wii as well. I don't want to have my Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, and PS2 out all at the same time! Although I do have one free HDMI port.

That's stupid. Also, seems like it won't be backwards compatible with Gamecube games. Lame!!!

3DS does use friend codes. But fortunately, it's one per system now, so it's just like your PSN name or gamertag..... except with a lot of difficult to remember numbers....

So what? PSP made DS obsolete, didn't it? But didn't stop both from being awesome in their own right.

I won't say they are dead. But I will say that the days of the countless waves of JRPGs are dead. They are more or less fw and far between, but I find myself enjoying those more. Lost Odyssey, Last Story, Xenoblade, Arc Rise, and Eternal Sonata, are all amazing games. I'm really glad for the prevalence of western RPGs, because sometimes the formula gets tiresome.

Case in point. There are definitely less of them, but I tend to appreciate them more now.

Dated hardware isn't the issue. Because hardware wise, the Wii was already out of date coming out of the gate.

However, The most important thing in the industry is who uses new or existing hardware in an innovative way that has never been done before in it's current form, and who can market that hardware. That's the real revolution.

It's really about the whole package deal. Don't even bring up the originality argument, because one could ma...

Don't know why so many people are denying it. The fact is, because the new control scheme, which is now being imitated by competitors, the Wii has reached audiences that have never touched a game system before in their life. That's a simple fact. The Wii was a revolution because it reached audiences never thought possible in the gaming industry.
