I'm going to keep bringing this up. PS2 was very weak compared to the XBOX/Gamecube, but was still considered a current gen system at the time. Back then, nobody contested what was one generation and what wasn't based on hardware.

By everyone's(haters) logic, the PS2 shouldn't have been classified as current gen during its' reign either. Gamecube and Xbox were both several times more powerful than the PS2(that's right several times, and I severely doubt 720/PS4 will be several times more powerful than the Wii U, those big jumps aren't so common anymore), but no one ever called the PS2 "not next gen."

Double standards people. Just calling it like I see it.

So 1080p isn't next gen? Tell me lad, how many Xbox 360/PS3 games run 1080p natively? Next.... tell me how many TVs support greater than 1080p?

Further more, both the gamecube and the Xbox were several times more powerful than the PS2. Was the PS2 not a current gen system of its' time?

That's bullocks. What a load of rubbish! Next gen consoles are not going to be that big of a jump, certainly not over the PS3 anyway. Maybe 8-10X more powerful(still very unlikely), since that is about how powerful current gen pcs are compared to the last generation.

That said, I think that John Carmack said that for every time power increases by 10x, we only generally see a 50% improvement in visual fidelity. Take that with a grain of salt since I can't find the quo...

Yeah. Well, it is just a port....
Capcom has always traditionally made enhanced versions of previous games, this just marks the first that is going on a system with such a big power gap. Really wish they's just update the character models. I know I'll be getting it regardless though. I loved the game on Wii, and I've been looking for an excuse to get back into it.

Just thoght it as funny the name matches the feeling I get from this guy: "JadedXGamer."

Agreed. Without any of the big 3 gaming suffers though. They all keep each other on their toes.

Honestly, I think the Vita is a slow burn. I think it'll be like the PS3, sure it might have a rough time out of the gate, but it's library is going to become something truly unique, and it'll remembered as one of the greats.

They might do that at Disneyland.

That's pretty great. Though now the Wii U version seems waaaaaaaaaaaay over priced. EA has devalued an upcoming product. They've said that they would release the trilogy collection on Wii U, if 3 sells really well, but why the heck would anyone buy the Wii U version when you can get all 3 now together elsewhere?! Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Of course it's native 1080p. It's a port of a Wii game. By the way, Native 1080p doesn't necessarily mean that the game's textures are 1080p. It means the game is actually rendered at 1080p, and not simply upscaled. For example, ICO on PS3 is rendered at 1080p natively, but was obviously not originally a 1080p game. Same deal here.

God of War III, though initially announced to be able to run at 1080p, was downgraded to 720p for performance cost reasons. And honestly, a 720p game with better textures/effects beats out a 1080p game with inferior textures/effects in my book any day. Point is, next gen, games will run 1080p native.

Random aside, I can't wait until the next God of War releases!!!!!

I once found a page of crazy Sony quotes regarding their "big talking," I wish I knew where it was... Lot laughs. Lot of laughs, indeed.

I don't think many games would even support that resolution. After all, how many PS3 games are native 1080p, despite Sony touting that all of it's games would run at such a resolution.

Well, since those games will come out no matter what, I can't say that I'm surprised. They are probably just making placeholders for when Nintendo does actually announce something.

I'm glad it centers around move. The Wii remote really brought Silent Hill: Shattered Memories to life, and this looks to do the same. Glad I already own Playstation Move.

True. But I think Nintendo shouldn't make us buy the games twice for Wii/U and 3DS. I should only have to buy the game once. A unified account would be the best way to deal with this issue.

@Everyone!
Just ignore Miku's comments. He/She is a troll that is really in love with the Wii U. We are all just being trolled. Do not feed the troll! I repeat: DO NOT FEED THE TROLL!

Seriously. Nintendo has really dropped the ball on this one. I should be able to play all of my virtual console titles on my Wii and my 3DS, though maybe not n64 games because of the power needed to emulate the system. Also, Nintendo should tie the games to an account, not a system.

Excellent points for both sides. Though, The Wii U really won't be very underpowered compared to Sony and Microsofts next offerings.
