I don't really think it's going to mess with 3rd party games so much though. The power difference between Nintendo's system and the next Sony and Microsoft systems won't really be as big as people are expecting. It'll be like PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox all over again. PS2=Wii U, Xbox 720=Gamecube, and PS4=Xbox.
A very excellent point made. Bubbles for you good sir.
If they did become the publisher for Darksiders, I don't think you'd have anything to worry about, after all Nintendo is also responsible for publishing games like Eternal Darkness, Fatal Frame 4, the Fatal Frame 2 remake, as well as Ninja Gaiden Razor's edge and the upcoming Bayonetta 2. All games that according to people who proclaim to be gamers don't consider to fit Nintendo's MO.
Well, they always deploy the Super Mario Club debugging team for quality insurance.
Anyway, I think that would be pretty cool, plus Vigil already felt a lot like Legend of Zelda anyway. So, I think it's a good fit for Nintendo.
By the way, I love your avatar. FFXII was amazing, probably the most underrated big title ever last generation.
I think it's really stupid how people talk about Nintendo "abandoning" the core gamer, when really it was the "core gamer" that abandoned Nintendo. People who call them selves "gamers" all too often speak of Nintendo only releasing casual games when 7 out of the 10 times, the games they produce are core games. People rat on Nintendo for shovelware, but was that really Nintendo? No it was 3rd party developers that were responsible for all of the shovelware. ...

I want to point out that you are comparing the output of one DEVELOPER to the output of an entire COMPANY. As a developer they have put out many stellar games, and the team used to actually be part of Squarespft, under squaresoft, the developers worked on the snes Final Fantasy games, and during the PS1 era, games like Chrono Cross and Xenogears. On that merit alone, I think it meets that criteria. Lotta' talent there.
I agree. Especially, because they have a lot of the talent that made Squaresoft great to begin with with. Members of the team worked on games since the snes era. They worked on Xenogears(duh) and Chrono Cross, and more.
Amazing developer.
That's a good point though. I'd probably get the ps3 version anyway(which is pre ordered) because a rushed port is never a good port. Like the Wii U version of epic mickey 2.
I'm seriously tired of this!
Developers don't have to do something special. they could design it around the pro controller. If you don't have one, then the could just hanger a blank screen and allow for off tv play.
I see what you said there! Lol
Kudos!
Just started playing on the PC after playing for a long time on Xbox. .....I miss my stuff! lol
Hasn't stopped the countless "Anti-Nintendo articles" and "Sony doom articles."
This really does rub me the wrong way.
And, I don't think a lot of the games are worth the asking price anyway. 5 for Legend of Zelda.... sure. 5 for Balloon fight? No way. ..and yes I am aware that it is on sale right now.
Fair enough. Personally, I've had to own all 3 to get all the games I play.
By the way, my 360 RRODed 3 times. I had it repaired twice, and after the third time, I ended just buying a slim.
Though, because of that experience and the price of live, I'm definitely going to take the wait and see approach for Microsoft's next console. Wait until the thing is actually stable.
You must have pretty specific tastes then, because the Wii had a lot of diversity.
I think the biggest problem with the Wii was just that most "gamers" didn't even really bother trying to play a lot of the awesome games available.
Of course I have a PS3. I can't wait for Beyond Two Souls and Last of Us, among other games. I just got a copy of Ni no Kuni and am enjoying it immensely!
Your loss. I can't wait until these titles and ps4 come out. Between Nintendo and sony consoles you're guaranteed amazing exclusives.
Nice read, but people shouldn't hate on playstation all stars. It's actually pretty cool.
Isn't it really waaaaaaaaaaay too early to be all doom and gloom? After all, look at the PS3 and the 3DS and where they're at today.
