I imagine, it’s Particularly enticing to people who have experienced oppression in their lives.
MS took it to another level. To the point that they lacked studios. They simply bought games, but they hadn’t anticipated that they would be defeated to the point that buying exclusives was not affordable anymore. That’s why there is so little exclusives on Xbox this gen.

Maybe with the new studios they will act differently, but Inc the past this has been MS’s modus operandi. If we saw less of it this gen, it was because they couldn’t afford to buy them as much due to the large install base difference. Which is why they lacked exclusives all gen.

It’s very simple, it’s more important for PlayStation to retain the huge advantage that comes with its install base, not so much so for the gamer. Why? Because the only reason people want it is because admittedly the option would be nice and most of us don’t want to say goodbye to our games. Having said that, once people see what’s coming for PS5, they will slowly shift away from playing older generation games (except for masterpieces especially if they hadn’t played them ye...
I would only like it if, it in no way jeopardizes the power of the unit. So the only way I can think of, is if there was an option to buy a portable screen for the console that would somehow work without needing a separate compute source (maybe play-anywhere). That way it wouldn’t effect the power or the initial cost of the PS5, and still offer portability for those who want it. But this is a pipe dream I think lol

You lagging man lol I kid. I’ve lost count of mine but definitely not as high as some people’s comments here. I would guess maybe 25 physical max, and I currently have about 15 in my possession. Some have been lent out to friends who never returned them, others I traded in. Digital, I can’t even guess. (Not counting PS+)
Yeah it was the games that caused its success. And of course a legacy of PlayStations always delivering the goods.
Sony’s number was just PSN. Microsoft number is the entire gaming division.
MS’s number is the entire Xbox division. Sony’s number is just PSN.

PS4 is still tops. Based on that I would predict that we won’t be seeing PS5 anytime soon. Probably 2 years away like DF said.
The more of these daily dose of Microsoft articles I see, the more I don’t see a change in their business model. Stop the bs and just focus on games. Stop talking about the competition or what you are doing, just make games and talk about the games. Smh 🤦♂️
