Developers are saying that the new SSD will open up game development in ways that are not shown on a spec sheet.
There is no reason for you to bring up MS. Also, from what we are hearing PS5 audio has a bit more to it than traditional 3D audio, thus the article. But No one here was talking about Xbox until you rushed here to comment first trying to defend your console of choice. You should take a look in the mirror, and ask if this behavior is what you want to represent you.

devs are praising this new type of SSD. These two are just the latest.
They will not beat PS5, but they will have a better time than they did with Xbox one. I expect PlayStation to again bring the games all generation.
I think people expect too much from next gen. That’s why anytime a dev shows off anything other than CGI, there is a collective “meh” right now. Personally, I think this looks promising. Let’s wait and see.
Is it weird that despite not playing as many VR games as regular ones, I get more excited for any given VR games than regular games? (Generally speaking)

Yup, if the difference between the Pro and X turned out to be slightly crisper multiplats, this time it will be even less distinguishable especially since the PS5 will have its own advantages. Then, I’m just going to wait and watch those Sony 1st party studios do what they do best, pump out amazing games all generation long.
I’m so excited for what they will do with the new tech. You can just imagine the possibilities with all that experience. Then, there is VR and what’s going to be made in that space, and It’s just something bright to look forward to in these crazy times!
No the xboxsx SSD doesn’t do what the PS5 SSD does. At least not if you listen to what the devs are saying. It’s not slow, but the apparently Sony didn’t just double the speed, they also added some hardware to allow their SSD to do more than regular SSDs. At least that’s what I understood.
