That’s a good question. From Sony’s perspective it shouldn’t matter much because they will likely cost about the same with the DS5 possibly costing a bit more. So, if PSVR1 is compatible with PS5, then it follows that DS4 also has to?

Yes they can, but the difference will be the same as let’s say Naughty Dogs, versus any Xbox first party studio. These studios, just like any other organization, are more than the sum of their parts. Bringing in talent is very important, but there are other factors than can’t be bought outright.

Basically, on paper XBX has the advantage but the developers say the PS5 has the edge. But, I agree, when the games come out, we will see the differences. I think we will see that there is barely any difference imo.
Looks like the developers are mostly of the belief that PS5 is the more capable machine despite the specs on paper giving the edge to XBX.
You clearly are not familiar with VR gaming. remember when a lot of older adults talked in the same way about gaming in general? Imitating what kids did holding the controller and making faces to make fun? Yeah.

The only place where they will be hurt by not joining VR, Is in the experience department. While Sony is gaining critical hands on experience making VR games, MS studios will have to start from scratch. Although it’s possible that MS will simply buy studios with experience. All in all, as a VR fan I’m disappointed in MS, but I can see how this strategy works for them.
They set up interviews, it’s not like they find him on the street. It’s called public relations, and yes, all questions, and, all answers are pre-determined.
