My god, it's like the author mashed on the keyboard and hoped for the best.
I nearly had a stroke after reading about Deus Ex. There were two games before Human Revolution and neither of them were on Playstation, and neither were published by Square Enix.
Gears was one of my favorite franchises last gen, and there were a lot of them.
The only worry I have is that the gameplay could become stale if changes aren't made. The MP in gears games is top notch but not much has changed in terms of overall gameplay.
I'd like to see Black tusk take some risks and incorporate different forms of combat into the game, like Ubisoft did when they introduced naval battles into Assassins creed.
DX12 will obviously close the gap, but not as much as everyone thinks. It will be the games that evens the odds, if the games come.
Power is important but it's not everything, a lot of people seem to forget that the Wii outsold both the PS3 and 360 by a considerable margin, which is not bad for a so called 'casual' console.
One does not simply speed run through a dark souls game.
Unless of course you exploit certain glitches or have had more than one play through. I tried a speed run of banjo kazooie and by the time I got to clankers cavern the time was up. These speed runners are like NASCAR drivers who take a shortcut through the middle of the track and then claim to hold the lap record.
Tough question.
Technically it will be hard to top GTA V, it was nearly flawless in it's execution which is amazing considering the size and scope of the game.
But Watch dogs has an awesome concept and gameplay mechanics, which is why everyone was blown away when it was first unveiled. I personally like the deus ex semi cyberpunk approach to it, which is a genre that appeals to me.
But Kudos to the devs, Watch dogs is an ambitious title a...
A twitter fight? It must be a slow news day.
I read the whole exchange and it was mind numbing, but that's what twitter does to people.
I liked Pod racer, I enjoyed that more than the phantom menace.
Ghostbusters on commodore 64 was great as well.
Have you suffered a concussion recently? sure MK8 is pretty but it's hardly the best looking game this gen.
But that's me in a nutshell, living in a Laa Laa Land.
Okay I screwed up, yes they did by find a buyer, but if SE shares was in such demand, then why sell now? nobody sells their stock if the forecast is sunny.
And not to mention the buyer was a financial firm, which sets off alarm bells. Remember Enron?
This news is a nail in the coffin for SE, not the final nail but close to it.
Regardless of Sonys financial status, a mass sell off like this means that the investors have lost confidence or that the stock price has plateaued, and dropped stocks are like lepers in the business world that nobody wants to touch.
But one thing is certain: SE are in for some tough times.
Never underestimate the power of DirectX.
I remember not being able to play Road Rash because my PC was not DirectX compatible, despite it's awesome MMX processor and a whopping 16 MB of RAM.
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe that DirectX can't deliver the goods, and it's good that the Xbones potential is finally becoming a reality, and I hope the Wii-U can do the same.
Great, even more zombie apocalypse games. Hasn't that dead horse been flogged enough already?
It's time for a change, A leprechaun apocalypse would be a breath of fresh air.
The order and the Witcher 3 are on my wishlist, amongst other things such as a Fallout 4 and footage of Star wars Battlefront.
But...but...it's a cable box! how dare M$ shift their focus back towards the games!!! what will I bitch about now???
If the games come then that's a good thing...right?
TBH I thought South Park's take on the console wars was better.
This year is the 25th year I've been gaming, And you know you're getting old when your first rage quit was battletoads.
And you know you're getting old when you can't remember the last time you played couch co-op, damn young whippersnappers with their servers and their headsets...
And you know when you're getting old when you refuse to pay too much for a console and yet pestered your parents for a 700 dollar SNES.
Porting should become less of a problem when last gen is phased out.
There's a transitional phase going on and some people may have missed out on last gen games and wish to experience them this gen, and I don't see a problem with that.
However it's a kick in the nuts to some who payed 100AUD for a game only for a refined edition with extra content to be released just after you've finished the original version.
I personally lik...
The cloud is the future which is why M$ is talking it up.
But don't worry fanboys, in the future Sony will also become increasingly reliant on this technology, so next time you Jeer M$ for 'teh cloud' know that it's coming to a PS4 near you.
Cloud computing will greatly improve both consoles in time so why pick on M$?
I am glad that the devs are taking their time to polish this game, because it's definitely a game to get excited about.
This is very poor PR, If I was a head honcho at M$ I would be demanding a please explain from these people.
It's one thing to promote the cloud because there is no doubt that it has potential, but putting actual numbers out there without substantiated proof is a big no no in any field.
If I was Phil Spencer I'd be tearing my hair out. It's not the product that's the problem, it's the clowns they hire to sell it.
