First off, it's only $10 to upgrade to PS5. $20 of that $30 is for the expansion. And most of the developers you speak of only patch in FPS and maybe resolution gains for the most part and that's it. GoT didn't even need a patch for the 60fps boost to work when PS5 released. There's things the PS5 version can do that the PS4 cannot so why shouldn't they charge for the work they put in to add those features for the PS5? It's up to the Devs and Sony aren't the only o...
Yeah it's now a native PS5 game rather than being through BC mode.
@King_Noctis
Because it's not just a 60fps patch version of the game.
They are basically charging another 10 for the PS5 exclusive features since it's a native PS5 release rather than just BC. Like having full DualSense support, 3d audio that utilizes the tempest audio system rather than the PS4 implementation of 3d audio, 4K/60, and faster load times plus cutscenes are now rendered in realtime to easily allow japanese dubbed lip sync to be implemented ins...
@Tekadin
"it's 10 bucks to upgrade from the PS4 director's cut to the PS5. Same exact game."
Dude, like I already said... this isn't just some patched in FPS bump. That's already been done via BC. The PS5 version is a NATIVE release for the PS5 which includes full DualSense support, 4k/60, much faster loading times compared to running it in BC. The cinematics are also rendered In real time now allowing them to easily implement japanese dub...
Yeah, and the game won't be 16Gb on PC.
There's an entire expansion with a new map. 🤦♂️ Stop acting entitled. If it was just a performance upgrade then your comment would make sense but that's not the case here.
@babadook7
BBstudios stated the trailer they released was just to get the name out there and is not what the game will look like.
OMG 🤦🏻♂️ This is only for Fidelity (4k) mode which is locked at 30fps on a 60Hz display but now its capped and targeted to reach 40fps if you have a 120Hz display. I think you are the one who needs to get a grip. This changes nothing if you run the game in Performance mode... It's amazing to see how much your ego is showing lol.
Thats the main point of it yes but theres other ways to take advantage of it like stated here for example.
Fair enough, So you have a PS5. I still cant fathom how you think they feel the same with the triggers or haptics. There is a HUGE difference IMO and yes I've tried and own a XBO controller. You sure there isn't anything wrong with your hands? If you ever have a chance to give Returnal a try, their implementation is on a different level.
Also if your controller really only lasts 3 hours or so then theres gotta be something wrong with it. Maybe try getting it replace...
If you actually have a PS5 then you definitely have a faulty controller. If the controller really only lasted 3 hours on the normal settings and that was considered normal there would be a big problem here that Sony would have to face.
"Also, the haptics in the dual sense are really not much different than the rumble feature in the Series X controller. Xbox has had force feedback in triggers in their controllers since Xbox One."
Says the guy who hasn't touched a PS5 or a PS5 game properly implementing the controller features. Theres no marketing to fall for when its actually different but you wont know until you try bud... The difference is night and day.
"This is a d...
You can always change the strength of the triggers and haptics in the system settings if you ever need to. they are set to strong by default.
People were dealing with stuttering issues? Never heard of this problem until now.
Hopefully they just got their bad game out of the way. Layers of fear were solid horror games and I feel they have the ability to make a solid horror game.
Yeah good thing it won't matter in a year or two. But it may be less cumbersome when the games are released with a native PS5 version along with the PS4 version so they can have the solution done during development.
He would know if he read it 😂
@Gunstar
What relationship did MS have with DoubleFine? That was an unexpected acquisition
How about Obsidian?
Compulsion Games?
InXile Entertainment?
Mojang?
Ninja Theory?
None of these studios has any sort of long standing partnerships or exclusive games with Xbox and most of these were announced as acquisitions at one of their E3 shows out of nowhere.
Even Rare back in 2002 was an unexpected acquisition with ...
"I struggle to see the difference tbh."
Over half of XB Studios (16 to be exact) have been acquired within the past 5 years with many of them being multiplat devs primarily.
Sony on the other hand has only acquired 2 studios in the last 10 years and grew partnerships years in the making with multiple exclusives from these devs before fully acquiring them.
Does that help you see the difference here?
Now if So...
So their months of work doing all this isn't worth another 10 measly dollars for what they added only for the PS5 version?
