"The point is this is not the case,.. There is no some strange dual monitor resolution running this o PS5 I think I'd notice it in a second,.. because It would have bars on every normal 4K display."

Uhm no.... again you just proved that you don't know what you are talking about. Ultrawide monitors are just single displays in a 21:9 aspect ratio which is what this resolution is... it is not just a dual monitor resolution... And these resolut...

That goes for both.

Exactly. Even since they compared the decent performance difference in a location with the same amount of NPC's and effects going on with minimal difference on how everything was triggered during capture.

"Even DF had issues pixel-counting at launch, so it's possible the person doing the video simply got it very wrong..."

Yeah that resolution this analysis counted on XSX is just a bizzare design choice if it were true.

@Foker

You do know that 3840x1080 is a ultra wide resolution normally for 21:9 aspect ratios right? This isn't equivalent to 1920x1080 by a long shot...

1080p in ultra wide resolution is like 1440p compared to 4k. Just like 3440x1440p is the 4k of ultra wide. The only thing that's fake here is your knowledge of resolutions.

"There is no way that 3840x1080 is the actual PS5 resolution"

Considering the PS5 supports 21:9 output unlike XSX l, it is a possible resolution for the game to support. But it being the internal resolution is definitely interesting.

Heatsinks aren't complex in design. Theres plenty of heatsinks that take less than 5 minutes to put on that will perform no different than a pre installed one. Be Quiet is a brand that has great cooling products for computers and they sell one for like 14 bucks.

"Sure you can get a cheaper M.2 than the firecuda 530, whether it will work with the games is a different story."

Mark Cerny has already said he will be using the WD SN850 in his PS5 which is the one I was using as the price example so theres one more out there that will for sure work. We need to wait until the beta ends before jumping to conclusions as if there wont be multiple options out there to choose from. And so far we already have 6 or more that are having...

SSD prices have nothing to do with the chip shortage. NVME SSD prices are this price because its still fairly new for the industry. 1tb sata SSD's are half the cost of NVME SSD's.

1659d ago 6 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah but you have options. You can get the same SSD for $199 right now and buy a heatsink off amazon for $8.

1659d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

You can get it without a heatsink for $199 right now and buy a heatsink off amazon for $8 saving you about $40 and less than XSX option.

It's not weird because PC also has game pass and the PC version has RT available.

Internal reaches 5.5 Gb/s uncompressed while the fire cuda reaches 7.3 Gb/s uncompressed

During the install process when you turn on the ps5 it formats it and runs a speed test showing wether or not it passes the requirement. Tom Warren has a video of this process on Youtube.

I can't log into my halo insider account to see if i got selected. They said emails may have not been sent out but if you have a message in the waypoint account then you have access to the flight. :( hope they fix that soon. The site must be getting pounded right now.

You just reinforced my point of following a tutorial or just reading the freaking steps and nothing will go wrong just like building furniture. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, generally the value of a nvme SSD is ba...

I am looking at it objectively and if you just buy the SSD with a heatsink built in then it's plug and play already. The outer panel requires no tools to remove and the same single screw driver needed to replace the HDD on a PS3 or 4. Actually it's more steps on PS3 and 4 since you have to swap the hard drive tray between drives when replacing which uses 4 screws. So objectively it looks to be less complex but ust in a different form factor than some people are used to. Two screws and...

Stotty you need to open your eyes bud.

Im not adding lists of cheaper ones since someone already did. Some are higher but some aren't as well. I can grab a 1Tb for $199 and get a compatible heatsink for $8 on amazon coming out to less than the XSX option.

"Xbox supports every external SSD...."

And so does Sony. Did you forget that?

1662d ago 13 agree3 disagreeView comment

They probably want to see how the beta goes before sending out a list.

"It sounds like a headache for anyone who is not tech savvy to some degree, casuals will have a time with this I suspect some damaged PS5 incoming, also if you go for some off brand, cheap NVME drive the possibility of it failing after constant use is higher."

As if its rocket science to follow instructions just like you would do for assembling furniture from IKEA. 🤣 On top of that, if it's so complex all you need to do is ask for some help from a frie...
